ਐ ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਿ ਅੰਬਰੀਨਿ ਤੂ ਗੋਯਾ ਨਕਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।
ai zulaf anbareen too goyaa nakaab subahaa |
How fortunate is the person with a radiant heart and soul that is thoroughly and fully enlightened,
ਪਿਨਹਾਣ ਚੂ ਜ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਿ ਸਿਆਹ ਆਫਤਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।੧੭।੧।
pinahaan choo zer abar siaah aafataab subahaa |17|1|
And whose forehead constantly bows in the court of Waaheguru. (26) (4)
ਬੀਰੂੰ ਬਰ-ਆਮਦ ਆਣ ਮਹਿ ਮਨ ਚੂੰ ਜ਼ ਖ਼ਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।
beeroon baraaamad aan meh man choon z khaab subahaa |
O Goyaa! Keep circling around his territory expecting to offer a sacrifice without bragging about it,
ਸਦ ਤਾਅਨਾ ਮੀ-ਜ਼ਨਦ ਬ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਆਫਤਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।੧੭।੨।
sad taanaa meezanad b rukh aafataab subahaa |17|2|
I am just waiting for a simple signal and pointer of his eyes. (26) (5)
ਬਾ-ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਖ਼ਾਬਨਾਕ ਚੂੰ ਬੀਰੂੰ ਬਰ ਆਮਦੀ ।
baachasham khaabanaak choon beeroon bar aamadee |
There are thousands of studded peacock thrones littered in your way,
ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਗਸ਼ਤ ਅਜ਼ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਤੂ ਆਫਤਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।੧੭।੩।
sharamindaa gashat az rukh too aafataab subahaa |17|3|
But your devout followers stupefied by your grace have absolutely no desire for any crowns or gems. (27) (1)
ਅਜ਼ ਮਕਦਮਿ ਸ਼ਰੀਫ਼ ਜਹਾਣ ਰਾ ਦਿਹਦ ਫ਼ਰੋਗ਼ ।
az makadam shareef jahaan raa dihad farog |
Everything in this world is destructible and ceases to exist (ultimately),
ਚੂੰ ਬਰ-ਕਸ਼ਦ ਨਕਾਬ ਜ਼ਿ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਆਫ਼ਤਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।੧੭।੪।
choon barakashad nakaab zi rukh aafataab subahaa |17|4|
But the lovers never get destroyed because they know the secrets of love. (27) (2)
ਬੇਦਾਰੀ ਅਸਤ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਸ਼ੌਕ ।
bedaaree asat zindagee saahibaan shauak |
All eyes were anxiously intent for a glimpse of the Guru,
ਗੋਯਾ ਹਰਾਮ ਕਰਦਮ ਅਜ਼ ਆਇੰਦਾ ਖ਼ਾਬਿ ਸੁਬਹਾ ।੧੭।੫।
goyaa haraam karadam az aaeindaa khaab subahaa |17|5|
And thousands of minds are getting submerged (like in quick sand) in their anxiety of separation (from the Guru). (27) (3)
