ਬਹੁਤ ਸੈਨ ਹਨਿ ਜਾਦਵੀ ਬਢਿਯੋ ਗਰਬ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

bahut sain han jaadavee badtiyo garab apaar |

The pride of Svachh Singh was increased very much after killing a greater part of Yadava army

ਮਾਨੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਬੋਲਿਓ ਕੋਪ ਹਕਾਰਿ ॥੧੨੮੨॥

maan utaariyo krisan prat bolio kop hakaar |1282|

He spoke egoistically with Krishna.1282.

ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਜੋ ਭੂਪ ਦਸ ਮਾਰੇ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਰਿਸਾਇ ॥

kahaa bhayo jo bhoop das maare sayaam risaae |

ਜਿਉ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਬਨ ਤਿਨ ਭਛ ਕਰ ਲਰੇ ਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਮੁਹਾਇ ॥੧੨੮੩॥

jiau mrig ban tin bhachh kar lare na har samuhaae |1283|

“O Krishna! what, then, even if you have killed ten of the kings, it is just like this that the deer can eat the straws of the forest, but can’t confront the lion.”1283.

ਰਿਪੁ ਕੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨੰਤ ਹੀ ਬੋਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ॥

rip ke bachan sunant hee bole har musakaae |

ਸਵਛ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੁਅ ਮਾਰਿ ਹੋ ਸ੍ਰਯਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੀ ਨਯਾਇ ॥੧੨੮੪॥

savachh singh tua maar ho srayaar singh kee nayaae |1284|

Hearing the words of the enemy, Krishna smiled and said, ”O Svachh Singh! I shall kill you just as a lion kills a jackal.”1284.
