ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥

bahur su mantree bachan uchaare |

ਸੁਨਹੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਤੇ ਪ︀ਯਾਰੇ ॥

sunahu nripat praanan te payaare |

The Minister said, ‘Listen My most cherished Majesty,

ਏਕ ਕਥਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸੁਨਾਊ ॥

ek kathaa triy tumeh sunaaoo |

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਤਾਪ ਮਿਟਾਊ ॥੨॥
