Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਏ ॥

kar kirapaa apune prabh kee |

In His Mercy, God has made me His Own.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਨ ਕਉ ਦੀਏ ॥

har kaa naam japan kau dee |

He has blessed me with the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਗੁਬਿੰਦ ॥

aatth pehar gun gaae gubind |

Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.

ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਉਤਰੀ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਦ ॥੧॥

bhai binase utaree sabh chind |1|

Fear is dispelled, and all anxiety has been alleviated. ||1||

ਉਬਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥

aubare satigur charanee laag |

I have been saved, touching the Feet of the True Guru.

ਜੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਤਿਆਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jo gur kahai soee bhal meetthaa man kee mat tiaag |1| rahaau |

Whatever the Guru says is good and sweet to me. I have renounced the intellectual wisdom of my mind. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥

man tan vasiaa har prabh soee |

That Lord God abides within my mind and body.

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਕਿਛੁ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥

kal kales kichh bighan na hoee |

There are no conflicts, pains or obstacles.

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥

sadaa sadaa prabh jeea kai sang |

Forever and ever, God is with my soul.

ਉਤਰੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਨਾਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥

autaree mail naam kai rang |2|

Filth and pollution are washed away by the Love of the Name. ||2||

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

charan kamal siau laago piaar |

I am in love with the Lotus Feet of the Lord;

ਬਿਨਸੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ॥

binase kaam krodh ahankaar |

I am no longer consumed by sexual desire, anger and egotism.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਨ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥

prabh milan kaa maarag jaanaan |

Now, I know the way to meet God.

ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਾਂ ॥੩॥

bhaae bhagat har siau man maanaan |3|

Through loving devotional worship, my mind is pleased and appeased with the Lord. ||3||

ਸੁਣਿ ਸਜਣ ਸੰਤ ਮੀਤ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥

sun sajan sant meet suhele |

Listen, O friends, Saints, my exalted companions.

ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਹ ਅਤੋਲੇ ॥

naam ratan har agah atole |

The Jewel of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is unfathomable and immeasurable.

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਗਾਈਐ ॥

sadaa sadaa prabh gun nidh gaaeeai |

Forever and ever, sing the Glories of God, the Treasure of Virtue.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੪॥੬॥

kahu naanak vaddabhaagee paaeeai |4|6|

Says Nanak, by great good fortune, He is found. ||4||6||
