ਸਪਤਮ ਮਹਿਲ ਅਗਮ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ।

sapatam mahil agam har raaeaa |

The Impervious God personified (Guru) Har Rai as the seventh Master.

ਜਿਨ ਸੁੰਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਿ ਜੋਗ ਕਮਾਇਆ ।

jin sun dhiaan kar jog kamaaeaa |

He had ascertained from the Desireless Lord, and achieved the significance.

ਚੜ੍ਹਿ ਗਗਨ ਗੁਫਾ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਮਾਈ ।

charrh gagan gufaa meh rahio samaaee |

Ascending from the celestial cave he remained absorbed (in the Almighty).

ਜਹ ਬੈਠ ਅਡੋਲ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਈ ।

jeh baitth addol samaadh lagaaee |

And always sat unperturbed in contemplation.

ਸਭ ਕਲਾ ਖੈਂਚ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਪਤ ਰਹਾਯੰ ।

sabh kalaa khainch kar gupat rahaayan |

Acquired all the faculties but remained latent.

ਤਹਿ ਅਪਨ ਰੂਪ ਕੋ ਨਹਿਂ ਦਿਖਲਾਯੰ ।

teh apan roop ko nahin dikhalaayan |

And to none he revealed his personal-self.

ਇਉਂ ਇਸ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਗੁਬਾਰ ਮਚਾਇਓ ।

eiaun is parakaar gubaar machaaeo |

Thus, he elevated the prominence of the Holy Spirit.

ਤਹ ਦੇਵ ਅੰਸ ਕੋ ਬਹੁ ਚਮਕਾਇਓ ।

teh dev ans ko bahu chamakaaeo |

The potent and courageous (Guru) Harkrishan became the eighth Master,

ਹਰਿਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਭਯੋ ਅਸਟਮ ਬਲ ਬੀਰਾ ।

harikrisan bhayo asattam bal beeraa |

Who abandoned his temporal being at Delhi.

ਜਿਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਿ ਦੇਹਲੀ ਤਜਿਓ ਸਰੀਰਾ ।

jin pahunch dehalee tajio sareeraa |

Becoming apparent, at the age of innocence, he displayed ingenuity,

ਬਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਧਰਿ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਗ ਰਚਾਇਓ ।

baal roop dhar svaang rachaaeo |

And serenely relinquished the body and ascended (to the heavenly abode).

ਤਬ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਤਨ ਕੋ ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਧਾਇਓ ।

tab sahije tan ko chhodd sidhaaeo |

Thus, slamming ignominy on the heads of Mughal Rulers,

ਇਉ ਮੁਗਲਨਿ ਸੀਸ ਪਰੀ ਬਹੁ ਛਾਰਾ ।

eiau mugalan sees paree bahu chhaaraa |

He, Himself, reached the Court of Righteousness with honour.

ਵੈ ਖੁਦ ਪਤਿ ਸੋ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ।

vai khud pat so pahunche darabaaraa |

Thence on Aurangzeb initiated the altercation,

ਔਰੰਗੇ ਇਹ ਬਾਦ ਰਚਾਇਓ ।

aauarange ih baad rachaaeo |

And earned the desolation of his lineage.

ਤਿਨ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੁਲ ਸਭ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਾਇਓ ।

tin apanaa kul sabh naas karaaeo |

By quarrelling and squabbling the Mughals decimated each others;

ਇਉ ਠਹਕਿ ਠਹਕਿ ਮੁਗਲਨਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਝਾਰੀ ।

eiau tthehak tthehak mugalan sir jhaaree |

That was the way, all the sinners trailed to the hell.

ਫੁਨ ਹੋਇ ਪਾਪੀ ਵਹ ਨਰਕ ਸਿਧਾਰੀ ।

fun hoe paapee veh narak sidhaaree |

And thus exclaimed Gurdas;

ਇਉਂ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ।

eiaun kar hai guradaas pukaaraa |

ਹੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਾ ।੨੨।

he satigur muhi lehu ubaaraa |22|

O my True Guru, You grant me redemption.
