ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਜਪਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥

mukand mukand japahu sansaar |

Meditate on the Lord Mukanday, the Liberator, O people of the world.

ਬਿਨੁ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਅਉਹਾਰ ॥

bin mukand tan hoe aauhaar |

Without Mukanday, the body shall be reduced to ashes.

ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥

soee mukand mukat kaa daataa |

Mukanday is the Giver of liberation.

ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਪਿਤ ਮਾਤਾ ॥੧॥

soee mukand hamaraa pit maataa |1|

Mukanday is my father and mother. ||1||

ਜੀਵਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ਮਰਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥

jeevat mukande marat mukande |

Meditate on Mukanday in life, and meditate on Mukanday in death.

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

taa ke sevak kau sadaa anande |1| rahaau |

His servant is blissful forever. ||1||Pause||

ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੰ ॥

mukand mukand hamaare praanan |

The Lord, Mukanday, is my breath of life.

ਜਪਿ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਨੀਸਾਨੰ ॥

jap mukand masatak neesaanan |

Meditating on Mukanday, one's forehead will bear the Lord's insignia of approval.

ਸੇਵ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਕਰੈ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥

sev mukand karai bairaagee |

The renunciate serves Mukanday.

ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਦੁਰਬਲ ਧਨੁ ਲਾਧੀ ॥੨॥

soee mukand durabal dhan laadhee |2|

Mukanday is the wealth of the poor and forlorn. ||2||

ਏਕੁ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਕਰੈ ਉਪਕਾਰੁ ॥

ek mukand karai upakaar |

When the One Liberator does me a favor,

ਹਮਰਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥

hamaraa kahaa karai sansaar |

then what can the world do to me?

ਮੇਟੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਹੂਏ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥

mettee jaat hooe darabaar |

Erasing my social status, I have entered His Court.

ਤੁਹੀ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗ ਤਾਰਿ ॥੩॥

tuhee mukand jog jug taar |3|

You, Mukanday, are potent throughout the four ages. ||3||

ਉਪਜਿਓ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੂਆ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥

aupajio giaan hooaa paragaas |

Spiritual wisdom has welled up, and I have been enlightened.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਕੀਟ ਦਾਸ ॥

kar kirapaa leene keett daas |

In His Mercy, the Lord has made this worm His slave.

ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਅਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਚੂਕੀ ॥

kahu ravidaas ab trisanaa chookee |

Says Ravi Daas, now my thirst is quenched;

ਜਪਿ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸੇਵਾ ਤਾਹੂ ਕੀ ॥੪॥੧॥

jap mukand sevaa taahoo kee |4|1|

I meditate on Mukanday the Liberator, and I serve Him. ||4||1||
