ਜ︀ਯੋਂ ਜ︀ਯੋਂ ਪਵਨ ਝਲਾਤੋ ਆਵੈ ॥

jayon jayon pavan jhalaato aavai |

ਧੀਮੈ ਧੀਮੈ ਤਰਕਹ ਜਾਵੈ ॥

dheemai dheemai tarakah jaavai |

As the wind blew, he had, very slowly, slipped away.

ਦੁਹੂੰ ਬੈਰਕਨ ਸਾਹੁ ਉਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

duhoon bairakan saahu uddaariyo |

ਗਹਿਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਲੈ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੫॥

With the help of two bamboos, he was blown to the deep rivulet.(15)

ਘੋਘਰਨ ਜੋਰ ਨਦੀ ਨਰ ਤਰਿਯੋ ॥

ghogharan jor nadee nar tariyo |

ਧੁਜਨ ਹੇਤ ਤਹ ਹੁਤੋ ਉਬਰਿਯੋ ॥

dhujan het teh huto ubariyo |

With the help of woofs he swam over and using the bamboos, he crossed over.

ਰੂੰਈ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਚੋਟ ਨ ਲਾਗੀ ॥

roonee te kachh chott na laagee |

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਬਚਾਇ ਗਯੋ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ॥੧੬॥

praan bachaae gayo baddabhaagee |16|

In view of cotton around him he was not hurt and he was able to save his life.(16)
