Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰੁ ਧਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਦਾਨਿ ॥

kar dhar masatak thaapiaa naam deeno daan |

Placing His Hand upon my forehead, God has given me the gift of His Name.

ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਨਿ ॥੧॥

safal sevaa paarabraham kee taa kee nahee haan |1|

One who performs fruitful service for the Supreme Lord God, never suffers any loss. ||1||

ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਖਤਾ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਆਨਿ ॥

aape hee prabh raakhataa bhagatan kee aan |

God Himself saves the honor of His devotees.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਚਿਤਵਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਸੋ ਲੇਤਾ ਮਾਨਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jo jo chitaveh saadh jan so letaa maan |1| rahaau |

Whatever God's Holy servants wish for, He grants to them. ||1||Pause||

ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੇ ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥

saran pare charanaarabind jan prabh ke praan |

God's humble servants seek the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet; they are God's very breath of life.

ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਨ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੬॥

sehaj subhaae naanak mile jotee jot samaan |2|2|66|

O Nanak, they automatically, intuitively meet God; their light merges into the Light. ||2||2||66||
