ROOAAL STANZA

ਸੁ ਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਅਉ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕੋ ਹਜਾਰ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

su droh aau hankaar ko hajaar baan so hanayo |

Droha (malice) and Ahamkara (ego) were also killed with a thousand arrows

ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰ ਅਸੰਕ ਮੋਹ ਕੋ ਨ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਕਛ ਗਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

daridr asank moh ko na chit mai kachh ganayo |

No attention was paid, not even slightly, to Daridarta (lethargy) and Moha (attachment)

ਅਸੋਚ ਅਉ ਕੁਮੰਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਅਨੇਕ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਹਤ੍ਰਯੋ ॥

asoch aau kumantrataa anek baan so hatrayo |

Ashoch (impurity) and Kumantarna (bad counsel) were destroyed with many arrows and

ਕਲੰਕ ਕੌ ਨਿਸੰਕ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਸਹੰਸ੍ਰ ਸਾਇਕੰ ਛਤ੍ਰਯੋ ॥੩੧੮॥

kalank kau nisank hvai sahansr saaeikan chhatrayo |318|

Kalank (blemish) was fearlessly pierced with thousand of arrows.91.318.

ਕ੍ਰਿਤਘਨਤਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸਘਾਤ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਘਾਤ ਮਾਰ︀ਯੋ ॥

kritaghanataa bisvaasaghaat mitraghaat maarayo |

Kritghanta (ungratefulness), Vishwasghaat (breach of trust) and Mittraghaat (unfriendliness) were also killed

ਸੁ ਰਾਜ ਦੋਖ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦੋਖ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਝਾਰ︀ਯੋ ॥

su raaj dokh braham dokh braham asatr jhaarayo |

Brahmdosh and Raajdosh were finished with Bramastra (the arm of Brahman)

ਉਚਾਟ ਮਾਰਣਾਦਿ ਬਸਿਕਰਣ ਕੋ ਸਰੰ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

auchaatt maaranaad basikaran ko saran hanayo |

Ucchatan, Maaran and Vashikarn etc. were killed with arrows

ਬਿਖਾਧ ਕੋ ਬਿਖਾਧ ਕੈ ਨ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਤਾਹਿ ਕੋ ਗਨ︀ਯੋ ॥੩੧੯॥

bikhaadh ko bikhaadh kai na bridh taeh ko ganayo |319|

Vishaad (hatred), though considered old one, ws not let off.92.319.

ਭਜੇ ਰਥੀ ਹਈ ਗਜੀ ਸੁ ਪਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਧਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

bhaje rathee hee gajee su pat traas dhaar kai |

The charioteer, horses and the masters of elephants ran away in fear

ਭਜੇ ਰਥੀ ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਸੁ ਲਾਜ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

bhaje rathee mahaarathee su laaj ko bisaar kai |

Her great chariot-owners, forsaking their shame, fled away

ਅਸੰਭ ਜੁਧ ਜੋ ਭਯੋ ਸੁ ਕੈਸ ਕੇ ਬਤਾਈਐ ॥

asanbh judh jo bhayo su kais ke bataaeeai |

How should I describe this impossible and dreadful war as to how it was fought ?

ਸਹੰਸ ਬਾਕ ਜੋ ਰਟੈ ਨ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਰ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩੨੦॥

sahans baak jo rattai na tatr paar paaeeai |320|

If the same is described hundreds or thousands of times, even then the end of its greatness cannot be known.93.320.

ਕਲੰਕ ਬਿਭ੍ਰਮਾਦਿ ਅਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਘਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਕੌ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

kalank bibhramaad aau kritaghan taeh kau hanayo |

Kalank, Vibharam and Kritghanta etc. were killed

ਬਿਖਾਦ ਬਿਪਦਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਗਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

bikhaad bipadaad ko kachhoo na chit mai ganayo |

No attention was paid, even slightly to VISHAD, VIPDA etc.

ਸੁ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਦੋਖ ਰਾਜਦੋਖ ਈਰਖਾਹਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

su mitradokh raajadokh eerakhaeh maar kai |

After killing Mittradosh, Raajdosh, Irsha etc.

ਉਚਾਟ ਅਉ ਬਿਖਾਧ ਕੋ ਦਯੋ ਰਣੰ ਨਿਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੩੨੧॥

auchaatt aau bikhaadh ko dayo ranan nikaar kai |321|

Ucchatan and Vishad were driven out of the battlefield.94.321

ਗਿਲਾਨਿ ਕੋਪ ਮਾਨ ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ॥

gilaan kop maan apramaan baan so hanayo |

Galani (hatred) was pierced with many arrows

ਅਨਰਥ ਕੋ ਸਮਰਥ ਕੈ ਹਜਾਰ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਝਨ੍ਰਯੋ ॥

anarath ko samarath kai hajaar baan so jhanrayo |

Anarth was pierced with a thousand arrows with full power

ਕੁਚਾਰ ਕੋ ਹਜਾਰ ਬਾਨ ਚਾਰ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ︀ਯੋ ॥

kuchaar ko hajaar baan chaar so prahaarayo |

Kuchaal was attacked with thousand of fine arrows

ਕੁਕਸਟ ਅਉ ਕੁਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕੌ ਭਜਾਇ ਤ੍ਰਾਸੁ ਡਾਰ︀ਯੋ ॥੩੨੨॥

kukasatt aau kukriaa kau bhajaae traas ddaarayo |322|

Kashat and Kutriya were caused to run away.95.322.
