ਚੋਟ ਪਈ ਦਮਾਮੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ॥

chott pee damaame dalaan mukaabalaa |

The drum was beaten and the armies attacked each other.

ਦੇਵੀ ਦਸਤ ਨਚਾਈ ਸੀਹਣ ਸਾਰਦੀ ॥

devee dasat nachaaee seehan saaradee |

ਗੁਰਦੇ ਆਂਦਾ ਖਾਈ ਨਾਲੇ ਰੁਕੜੇ ॥

gurade aandaa khaaee naale rukarre |

ਜੇਹੀ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਆਈ ਕਹੀ ਸੁਣਾਇ ਕੈ ॥

jehee dil vich aaee kahee sunaae kai |
