ਦੇਖਨ ਚੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਰਣ ਘੁਰੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ ॥

Seeing the intense glory of Chandi, the trumpets souded in the battlefield.

ਧਾਏ ਰਾਕਸਿ ਰੋਹਲੇ ਚਉਗਿਰਦੋ ਭਾਰੇ ॥

dhaae raakas rohale chaugirado bhaare |

The highly furious demons ran on all four sides.

ਹਥੀਂ ਤੇਗਾਂ ਪਕੜਿ ਕੈ ਰਣ ਭਿੜੇ ਕਰਾਰੇ ॥

hatheen tegaan pakarr kai ran bhirre karaare |

ਕਦੇ ਨ ਨਠੇ ਜੁਧ ਤੇ ਜੋਧੇ ਜੁਝਾਰੇ ॥

kade na natthe judh te jodhe jujhaare |

ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਹ ਬਢਾਇ ਕੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ॥
