ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਤੂ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਤੰਤਾ ॥

sugharr sujaan saroop too sabh meh varatantaa |

You are Wise, all-knowing and beautiful; You are pervading and permeating all.

ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਆਪੇ ਪੂਜੰਤਾ ॥

too aape tthaakur sevako aape poojantaa |

You Yourself are the Lord and Master, and the servant; You worship and adore Yourself.

ਦਾਨਾ ਬੀਨਾ ਆਪਿ ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਸਤਵੰਤਾ ॥

daanaa beenaa aap too aape satavantaa |

You are all-wise and all-seeing; You Yourself are true and pure.

ਜਤੀ ਸਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਵੰਤਾ ॥

jatee satee prabh niramalaa mere har bhagavantaa |

The Immaculate Lord, my Lord God, is celibate and True.

ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਸਾਰੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਓ ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲੰਤਾ ॥

sabh braham pasaar pasaario aape khelantaa |

God spreads out the expanse of the entire universe, and He Himself plays in it.

ਇਹੁ ਆਵਾ ਗਵਣੁ ਰਚਾਇਓ ਕਰਿ ਚੋਜ ਦੇਖੰਤਾ ॥

eihu aavaa gavan rachaaeo kar choj dekhantaa |

He created this coming and going of reincarnation; creating the wondrous play, He gazes upon it.

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਗਰਭਿ ਨ ਪਾਵਹੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤਾ ॥

tis baahurr garabh na paavahee jis deveh gur mantaa |

One who is blessed with the Guru's Teachings, is not consigned to the womb of reincarnation, ever again.

ਜਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਚਲਦੇ ਕਿਛੁ ਵਸਿ ਨ ਜੰਤਾ ॥੪॥

jiau aap chalaaveh tiau chalade kichh vas na jantaa |4|

All walk as He makes them walk; nothing is under the control of the created beings. ||4||
