ਜੁ ਵੈ ਤਰਾਕ ਪਨੀਨ ਕੇ ਪਰੈ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਕਾਨ ॥

ju vai taraak paneen ke parai tihaare kaan |

She said, ‘My friend listen to me, I have beaten Quazi enough,

ਤੌ ਹਮ ਸਾਚੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਹਨਾ ਲੀਜਹੋ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਪਛਾਨਿ ॥੮॥

tau ham saach tisai hanaa leejaho hridai pachhaan |8|

‘I hit him with a shoe, that is why there was excessive noise.(8)

ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਹਾ ਹਮ ਸੁਨੇ ਤਰਾਕੇ ਕਾਨ ॥

sat sat tin kahaa ham sune taraake kaan |

(He replied,) ‘It is true i heard the noises too.’

ਸੀਸ ਖੁਰਕਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੌ ਗਏ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਪਛਾਨ ॥੯॥

sees khurak grih kau ge bhed na sakaa pachhaan |9|

Scratching his head he left for his house and could not discern the mystery.(9)(l)
