Third Mehl:

ਹੋਰੁ ਬਿਰਹਾ ਸਭ ਧਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥

hor birahaa sabh dhaat hai jab lag saahib preet na hoe |

All other loves are transitory, as long as people do not love their Lord and Master.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਵੇਖਣੁ ਸੁਨਣੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥

eihu man maaeaa mohiaa vekhan sunan na hoe |

This mind is enticed by Maya-it cannot see or hear.

ਸਹ ਦੇਖੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਊਪਜੈ ਅੰਧਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੇਇ ॥

seh dekhe bin preet na aoopajai andhaa kiaa karee |

Without seeing her Husband Lord, love does not well up; what can the blind person do?

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਿ ਅਖੀ ਲੀਤੀਆ ਸੋਈ ਸਚਾ ਦੇਇ ॥੨॥

naanak jin akhee leeteea soee sachaa dee |2|

O Nanak, the True One who takes away the eyes of spiritual wisdom-He alone can restore them. ||2||
