ਦੁੰਦ ਸੁ ਜੁਧ ਭਇਓ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਉਤ ਸੁੰਭ ਇਤੈ ਬਰ ਚੰਡਿ ਸੰਭਾਰੀ ॥

dund su judh bheo ran mai ut sunbh itai bar chandd sanbhaaree |

Ultimately there was battle only between the two, Sumbh from that side and Chandi from this side, sustained their power.,

ਘਾਇ ਅਨੇਕ ਭਏ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਕੈ ਤਨਿ ਪਉਰਖ ਗਯੋ ਸਭ ਦੈਤ ਕੋ ਹਾਰੀ ॥

ghaae anek bhe duhoon kai tan paurakh gayo sabh dait ko haaree |

Several wounds were infected on the bodies of bodies of both, but the demon lost all his power.,

ਹੀਨ ਭਈ ਬਲ ਤੇ ਭੁਜ ਕਾਪਤ ਸੋ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵਿ ਐਸਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥

kop bhee bar chandd mahaa bahu judh kario ran mai bal dhaaree |

ਲੈ ਕੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਮਹਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਪਚਾਰ ਕੈ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੇ ਊਪਰ ਝਾਰੀ ॥

lai kai kripaan mahaa balavaan pachaar kai sunbh ke aoopar jhaaree |

Very powerful Chandi, taking her sword and shouting loudly, she struck it on Sumbh.,

ਸਾਰ ਸੋ ਸਾਰ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ ਬਜੀ ਝਨਕਾਰ ਉਠੀ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਚਿਨਗਾਰੀ ॥

saar so saar kee saar bajee jhanakaar utthee tih te chinagaaree |

The sword’s edge collided with the sword’s edge, from which there arose tinkling sound and sparks.,

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਭਾਦਵ ਮਾਸ ਕੀ ਰੈਨਿ ਲਸੈ ਪਟਬੀਜਨ ਕੀ ਚਮਕਾਰੀ ॥੨੧੮॥

ਘਾਇਨ ਤੇ ਬਹੁ ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਪਰਿਓ ਬਲ ਛੀਨ ਭਇਓ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੋ ਕੈਸੇ ॥

ghaaein te bahu sraun pario bal chheen bheo nrip sunbh ko kaise |

Much blood flowed out of the would of the wounds of Sumbh, therefore he lost his power, how doth he look like?,

ਜੋਤਿ ਘਟੀ ਮੁਖ ਕੀ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਮਨੋ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾ ਸਸਿ ਜੈਸੇ ॥

jot ghattee mukh kee tan kee mano pooran te parivaa sas jaise |

The glory of his face and the power of his body have depleted like the decrease in the light of the moon from full moon to the new moon.,

ਚੰਡਿ ਲਇਓ ਕਰਿ ਸੁੰਭ ਉਠਾਇ ਕਹਿਓ ਕਵਿ ਨੇ ਮੁਖਿ ਤੇ ਜਸੁ ਐਸੇ ॥

chandd leo kar sunbh utthaae kahio kav ne mukh te jas aise |

Chandi picked up Sumbh in her hand, the poet hath imahined the comparison of this scene like this:,

ਰਛਕ ਗੋਧਨ ਕੇ ਹਿਤ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਉਠਾਇ ਲਇਓ ਗਿਰਿ ਗੋਧਨੁ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੨੧੯॥

rachhak godhan ke hit kaanrah utthaae leo gir godhan jaise |219|

It seemed that in order to protect the flock of cows, Krishna had lifted the Govardhana mountain.219.,
