Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥

har sevaa meh param nidhaan |

In the Lord's service, are the greatest treasures.

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥

har sevaa mukh amrit naam |1|

Serving the Lord, the Ambrosial Naam comes into one's mouth. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਖਾਈ ॥

har meraa saathee sang sakhaaee |

The Lord is my Companion; He is with me, as my Help and Support.

ਦੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਿਮਰੀ ਤਹ ਮਉਜੂਦੁ ਜਮੁ ਬਪੁਰਾ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਹਾ ਡਰਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

dukh sukh simaree teh maujood jam bapuraa mo kau kahaa ddaraaee |1| rahaau |

In pain and pleasure, whenever I remember Him, He is present. How can the poor Messenger of Death frighten me now? ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਾਣੁ ॥

har meree ott mai har kaa taan |

The Lord is my Support; the Lord is my Power.

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਖਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥੨॥

har meraa sakhaa man maeh deebaan |2|

The Lord is my Friend; He is my mind's advisor. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਵੇਸਾਹੁ ॥

har meree poonjee meraa har vesaahu |

The Lord is my capital; the Lord is my credit.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਟੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਹੁ ॥੩॥

guramukh dhan khattee har meraa saahu |3|

As Gurmukh, I earn the wealth, with the Lord as my Banker. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਤਿ ਆਵੈ ॥

gur kirapaa te ih mat aavai |

By Guru's Grace, this wisdom has come.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੧੬॥

jan naanak har kai ank samaavai |4|16|

Servant Nanak has merged into the Being of the Lord. ||4||16||
