ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿ ਬਾਚ ਸੈਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ॥

ਜੁਧ ਕਰੈ ਘਨਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਜਹਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੂੰ ਦਲੁ ਲੈ ਉਨ ਓਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਰੋ ॥

judh karai ghan sayaam jahaa tum hoon dal lai un or sidhaaro |

ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਲੈ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਦੇਹ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੋ ॥

baan kamaan kripaan gadaa kar lai jadubeer ko deh prahaaro |

“The side on which Krishna is fighting, you may all go there and strike blows to him with you bows, arrows, swords and maces

ਜਾਇ ਨ ਜੀਵਤ ਜਾਦਵ ਕੋ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਰਨ ਭੂਮਿ ਮੈ ਜਾਇ ਸੰਘਾਰੋ ॥

jaae na jeevat jaadav ko tin ko ran bhoom mai jaae sanghaaro |

“No Yadava be allowed to escape from the battlefield

ਯੌ ਜਬ ਬੈਨ ਕਹੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੈਨ ਚਲੀ ਚਤੁਰੰਗ ਜਹਾ ਰਨ ਭਾਰੋ ॥੧੦੭੦॥

yau jab bain kahai nrip sain chalee chaturang jahaa ran bhaaro |1070|

Kill all of them,” when Jarasandh said these words, then the army set itself in ranks and marched forward towards that side.1070.

ਆਇਸ ਪਾਵਤ ਹੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਘਨ ਜਿਉ ਉਮਡੇ ਭਟ ਓਘ ਘਟਾ ਘਟ ॥

aaeis paavat hee nrip ko ghan jiau umadde bhatt ogh ghattaa ghatt |

On receiving the command of the king, the warriors marched forward like clouds

ਬਾਨਨ ਬੂੰਦਨ ਜਿਉ ਬਰਖੇ ਚਪਲਾ ਅਸਿ ਕੀ ਧੁਨਿ ਹੋਤ ਸਟਾ ਸਟ ॥

baanan boondan jiau barakhe chapalaa as kee dhun hot sattaa satt |

The arrows were showered like rain-drops and the swords flashed like lighting

ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰੇ ਇਕ ਸਾਸ ਭਰੇ ਇਕ ਜੂਝਿ ਮਰੇ ਰਨਿ ਅੰਗ ਕਟਾ ਕਟ ॥

bhoom pare ik saas bhare ik joojh mare ran ang kattaa katt |

Someone has fallen a martyr on the earth, someone is heaving a long sigh and someone’s limb has been chopped

ਘਾਇਲ ਏਕ ਪਰੇ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਮੁਖ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਰਟਾ ਰਟ ॥੧੦੭੧॥

ghaaeil ek pare ran mai mukh maar hee maar pukaar rattaa ratt |1071|

Someine is lying wounded on the ground, but still he is shouting repeatedly “Kill, Kill”.1071.

ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਮੈ ਰਿਪੁ ਬੀਰ ਜਿਤੇ ਰਨ ਮਾਝਿ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥

jadubeer saraasan lai kar mai rip beer jite ran maajh sanghaare |

Krishna took his bow and arrows in his hand, knocked down all the warriors present in the battlefield

ਮਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਬਰ ਬਾਜ ਹਨੇ ਰਥ ਕਾਟਿ ਰਥੀ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥

mat karee bar baaj hane rath kaatt rathee birathee kar ddaare |

He killed the intoxicated elephants and horses and deprived many charioteers of their chariots

ਘਾਇਲ ਦੇਖ ਕੈ ਕਾਇਰ ਜੇ ਡਰੁ ਮਾਨਿ ਰਨੇ ਛਿਤਿ ਤ︀ਯਾਗਿ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥

ghaaeil dekh kai kaaeir je ddar maan rane chhit tayaag sidhaare |

Seeing the wounded warriors, the cowards left the battlefield and ran away

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੇ ਅਗ੍ਰਜ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਪਾਪਨ ਕੇ ਬਹੁ ਪੁੰਜ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੦੭੨॥

sree har pun ke agraj maanahu paapan ke bahu punj padhaare |1072|

They appeared like the collective sins running before the embodiment of virtues i.e. Krishna.1072.

ਸੀਸ ਕਟੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਤੇਊ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ॥

sees katte kitane ran mai mukh te teaoo maar hee maar pukaarai |

All the heads that were chopped in the war, they are all shouting “kill, kill” from their mouths

ਦਉਰਤ ਬੀਚ ਕਬੰਧ ਫਿਰੈ ਜਹ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਲਰੈ ਤਿਹ ਓਰਿ ਪਧਾਰੈ ॥

daurat beech kabandh firai jeh sayaam larai tih or padhaarai |

The headless trunks are running and moving forward to that side where Krishna is fighting

ਜੋ ਭਟ ਆਇ ਭਿਰੈ ਇਨ ਸੋ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨ ਕੈ ਘਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੈ ॥

jo bhatt aae bhirai in so tin kau har jaan kai ghaae prahaarai |

The warriors who are fighting with these headless trunks, these trunks, considering them as Krishna, are striking blows on them

ਜੋ ਗਿਰਿ ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰੈ ਮਰ ਕੈ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਰ ਨ ਭੂ ਪਰ ਡਾਰੈ ॥੧੦੭੩॥

jo gir bhoom parai mar kai kar te karavaar na bhoo par ddaarai |1073|

Those who are falling down on the earth, their sword is also falling down on the earth.1073.
