ਵਾ ਕੀ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤ ਮਾਨੀ ॥

vaa kee kahee na nrip sut maanee |

ਚਿਤ੍ਰਮਤੀ ਤਬ ਭਈ ਖਿਸਾਨੀ ॥

chitramatee tab bhee khisaanee |

The Prince consented not, and she was ashamed of her act.

ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੈ ਜਾਇ ਪੁਕਾਰੋ ॥

chitr singh pai jaae pukaaro |
