ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik oankaar satigur prasaad |

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਕਰੈ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਅਨੰਦੀ ਮੇਰਾ ॥

karai anand anandee meraa |

My Blissful Lord is forever in bliss.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਸਿਰ ਸਿਰਹਿ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥

ghatt ghatt pooran sir sireh niberaa |

He fills each and every heart, and judges each and everyone.

ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਕੈ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧॥

sir saahaa kai sachaa saahib avar naahee ko doojaa he |1|

The True Lord and Master is above the heads of all kings; there is none other than Him. ||1||

ਹਰਖਵੰਤ ਆਨੰਤ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥

harakhavant aanant deaalaa |

He is joyful, blissful and merciful.

ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਰਬ ਉਜਾਲਾ ॥

pragatt rahio prabh sarab ujaalaa |

God's Light is manifest everywhere.

ਰੂਪ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੨॥

roop kare kar vekhai vigasai aape hee aap poojaa he |2|

He creates forms, and gazing upon them, He enjoys them; He Himself worships Himself. ||2||

ਆਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥

aape kudarat kare veechaaraa |

He contemplates His own creative power.

ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਕਰੇ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥

aape hee sach kare pasaaraa |

The True Lord Himself creates the expanse of the Universe.

ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲ ਖਿਲਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਭੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੩॥

aape khel khilaavai din raatee aape sun sun bheejaa he |3|

He Himself stages the play, day and night; He Himself listens, and hearing, rejoices. ||3||

ਸਾਚਾ ਤਖਤੁ ਸਚੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ॥

saachaa takhat sachee paatisaahee |

True is His throne, and True is His kingdom.

ਸਚੁ ਖਜੀਨਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹੀ ॥

sach khajeenaa saachaa saahee |

True is the treasure of the True Banker.

ਆਪੇ ਸਚੁ ਧਾਰਿਓ ਸਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਿ ਵਰਤੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੪॥

aape sach dhaario sabh saachaa sache sach varateejaa he |4|

He Himself is True, and true is all that He has established. True is the prevailing Order of the True Lord. ||4||

ਸਚੁ ਤਪਾਵਸੁ ਸਚੇ ਕੇਰਾ ॥

sach tapaavas sache keraa |

True is the justice of the True Lord.

ਸਾਚਾ ਥਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਾ ॥

saachaa thaan sadaa prabh teraa |

Your place is forever True, O God.

ਸਚੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਕੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੫॥

sachee kudarat sachee baanee sach saahib sukh keejaa he |5|

True is Your Creative Power, and True is the Word of Your Bani. True is the peace which You give, O my Lord and Master. ||5||

ਏਕੋ ਆਪਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਵਡ ਰਾਜਾ ॥

eko aap toohai vadd raajaa |

You alone are the greatest king.

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਾਜਾ ॥

hukam sache kai poore kaajaa |

By the Hukam of Your Command, O True Lord, our affairs are fulfilled.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਪਤੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੬॥

antar baahar sabh kichh jaanai aape hee aap pateejaa he |6|

Inwardly and outwardly, You know everything; You Yourself are pleased with Yourself. ||6||

ਤੂ ਵਡ ਰਸੀਆ ਤੂ ਵਡ ਭੋਗੀ ॥

too vadd raseea too vadd bhogee |

You are the great party-goer, You are the great enjoyer.

ਤੂ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਹੀ ਜੋਗੀ ॥

too nirabaan toohai hee jogee |

You are detached in Nirvaanaa, You are the Yogi.

ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਘਰਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਅਮਿਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੭॥

sarab sookh sehaj ghar terai amiau teree drisatteejaa he |7|

All celestial comforts are in Your home; Your Glance of Grace rains Nectar. ||7||

ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਤੁਝੈ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੈ ॥

teree daat tujhai te hovai |

You alone give Your gifts.

ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਸਭਸੈ ਜੰਤ ਲੋਐ ॥

dehi daan sabhasai jant loai |

You grant Your gifts unto all the beings of the world.

ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਪੂਰ ਭੰਡਾਰੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੮॥

tott na aavai poor bhanddaarai tripat rahe aagheejaa he |8|

Your treasures are overflowing, and are never exhausted; through them, we remain satisfied and fulfilled. ||8||

ਜਾਚਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਬਨਵਾਸੀ ॥

jaacheh sidh saadhik banavaasee |

The Siddhas, seekers and forest-dwellers beg from You.

ਜਾਚਹਿ ਜਤੀ ਸਤੀ ਸੁਖਵਾਸੀ ॥

jaacheh jatee satee sukhavaasee |

The celibates and abstainers, and those who abide in peace beg from You.

ਇਕੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੯॥

eik daataar sagal hai jaachik dehi daan srisatteejaa he |9|

You alone are the Great Giver; all are beggars of You. You bless all the world with Your gifts. ||9||

ਕਰਹਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਰੁ ਰੰਗ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥

kareh bhagat ar rang apaaraa |

Your devotees worship You with infinite love.

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ॥

khin meh thaap uthaapanahaaraa |

In an instant, You establish and disestablish.

ਭਾਰੋ ਤੋਲੁ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਭਗਤੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੦॥

bhaaro tol beant suaamee hukam man bhagateejaa he |10|

Your weight is so heavy, O my infinite Lord and Master. Your devotees surrender to the Hukam of Your Command. ||10||

ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਰਸੁ ਸੋਈ ਤੁਧੁ ਜਾਣੈ ॥

jis dehi daras soee tudh jaanai |

They alone know You, whom You bless with Your Glance of Grace.

ਓਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣੈ ॥

ohu gur kai sabad sadaa rang maanai |

Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they enjoy Your Love forever.

ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਸੋਈ ਜੋ ਮਨਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਾਵੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੧॥

chatur saroop siaanaa soee jo man terai bhaaveejaa he |11|

They alone are clever, handsome and wise, who are pleasing to Your Mind. ||11||

ਜਿਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹਾ ॥

jis cheet aaveh so veparavaahaa |

One who keeps You in his consciousness, becomes carefree and independent.

ਜਿਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਾ ॥

jis cheet aaveh so saachaa saahaa |

One who keeps You in his consciousness, is the true king.

ਜਿਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਉ ਕੇਹਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਹਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੨॥

jis cheet aaveh tis bhau kehaa avar kahaa kichh keejaa he |12|

One who keeps You in his consciousness - what does he have to fear? And what else does he need to do? ||12||

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੂਝੀ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਠੰਢਾ ॥

trisanaa boojhee antar tthandtaa |

Thirst and desire are quenched, and one's inner being is cooled and soothed.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਲੈ ਤੂਟਾ ਗੰਢਾ ॥

gur poorai lai toottaa gandtaa |

The True Guru has mended the broken one.

ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਾਗੀ ਅਮਿਉ ਝੋਲਿ ਝੋਲਿ ਪੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥

surat sabad rid antar jaagee amiau jhol jhol peejaa he |13|

Awareness of the Word of the Shabad has awakened within my heart. Shaking it and vibrating it, I drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||13||

ਮਰੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਦ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਜੀਵੈ ॥

marai naahee sad sad hee jeevai |

I shall not die; I shall live forever and ever.

ਅਮਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਥੀਵੈ ॥

amar bheaa abinaasee theevai |

I have become immortal; I am eternal and imperishable.

ਨਾ ਕੋ ਆਵੈ ਨਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਵੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਭਰਮੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੪॥

naa ko aavai naa ko jaavai gur door keea bharameejaa he |14|

I do not come, and I do not go. The Guru has driven out my doubts. ||14||

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

poore gur kee pooree baanee |

Perfect is the Word of the Perfect Guru.

ਪੂਰੈ ਲਾਗਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥

poorai laagaa poore maeh samaanee |

One who is attached to the Perfect Lord, is immersed in the Perfect Lord.

ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਰੰਗਾ ਘਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੋਲੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥

charrai savaaeaa nit nit rangaa ghattai naahee toleejaa he |15|

His love increases day by day, and when it is weighed, it does not decrease. ||15||

ਬਾਰਹਾ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਸੁਧੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥

baarahaa kanchan sudh karaaeaa |

When the gold is made one hundred percent pure,

ਨਦਰਿ ਸਰਾਫ ਵੰਨੀ ਸਚੜਾਇਆ ॥

nadar saraaf vanee sacharraaeaa |

its color is true to the jeweller's eye.

ਪਰਖਿ ਖਜਾਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਰਾਫੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤਾਈਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੬॥

parakh khajaanai paaeaa saraafee fir naahee taaeejaa he |16|

Assaying it, it is placed in the treasury by God the Jeweller, and it is not melted down again. ||16||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥

amrit naam tumaaraa suaamee |

Your Naam is Ambrosial Nectar, O my Lord and Master.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥

naanak daas sadaa kurabaanee |

Nanak, Your slave, is forever a sacrifice to You.

ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੭॥੧॥੩॥

santasang mahaa sukh paaeaa dekh darasan ihu man bheejaa he |17|1|3|

In the Society of the Saints, I have found great peace; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, this mind is pleased and satisfied. ||17||1||3||
