ਰੋਵਨ ਲਾਗ ਜਬੈ ਜਸੁਧਾ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮੁਖਿ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੋ ਭਾਖੈ ॥

rovan laag jabai jasudhaa apune mukh te ih bhaat so bhaakhai |

ਕੋ ਹੈ ਹਿਤੂ ਹਮਰੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੈ ਚਲਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ॥

ko hai hitoo hamaro brij mai chalate har ko brij mai fir raakhai |

While weeping, Yashoda said like this, “Is there anyone in Braja, who may stop the departing Krishna in Braja?

ਐਸੋ ਕੋ ਢੀਠ ਕਰੈ ਜੀਯ ਮੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ਜਾ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਖੈ ॥

aiso ko dteetth karai jeey mo nrip saamuhi jaa bateeyaa ih bhaakhai |

ਸੋਕ ਭਰੀ ਮੁਰਝਾਇ ਗਿਰੀ ਧਰਨੀ ਪਰ ਸੋ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਨਹਿ ਭਾਖੈ ॥੭੯੪॥

sok bharee murajhaae giree dharanee par so bateeyaa neh bhaakhai |794|

“Is there any courageous person, who may present my anguish before the king,” saying this, Yashoda, withered by sorrow, fell down on the ground and became silent.794.

ਬਾਰਹ ਮਾਸ ਰਖਿਯੋ ਉਦਰੈ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰਹਿ ਮਾਸ ਭਏ ਜੋਊ ਜਈਯਾ ॥

baarah maas rakhiyo udarai meh tereh maas bhe joaoo jeeyaa |

“I kept Krishna in my womb for twelve months

ਪਾਲਿ ਬਡੋ ਜੁ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਮੈ ਮੁਸਲੀਧਰ ਭਯਾ ॥

paal baddo ju kariyo tab hee har ko sun mai musaleedhar bhayaa |

O Balram! listen, I have sustained and nourished Krishna to this age

ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਕਿਧੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਵਾ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਕੋ ਕੈ ਸੁਤ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਈਯਾ ॥

taahee ke kaaj kidhau nrip vaa basudev ko kai sut bol pattheeyaa |

ਪੈ ਹਮਰੇ ਘਟ ਭਾਗਨ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਭੀਤਰ ਪੈ ਨਹੀ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਰਹਈਯਾ ॥੭੯੫॥

pai hamare ghatt bhaagan ke ghar bheetar pai nahee sayaam raheeyaa |795|

“Has Kansa called him for this reason, considering him as the son of Vasudeva? Has my fortune, in reality, dwindled away, that Krishna will now onward not live in my house?”795.
