ਪਿਰਮ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਅਪਿਓ ਪੀਆਵਣਾ ।

piram piaalaa poor apio peeaavanaa |

Gurmukhs drink the unbearable Cup of love filled to the brims and being in the presence of the all;

ਮਹਰਮੁ ਹਕੁ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਵਣਾ ।

maharam hak hajoor alakh lakhaavanaa |

Pervading Lord they perceive the imperceptible.

ਘਟ ਅਵਘਟ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਵਣਾ ।

ghatt avaghatt bharapoor ridai samaavanaa |

The one who resides in all hearts is dwelling in their hearts.

ਬੀਅਹੁ ਹੋਇ ਅੰਗੂਰੁ ਸੁਫਲਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਾ ।

beeahu hoe angoor sufal samaavanaa |

The love creeper of their's has become full of fruits as the seedling of grape turns out to be fruitful vine.

ਬਾਵਨ ਹੋਇ ਠਰੂਰ ਮਹਿ ਮਹਿਕਾਵਣਾ ।

baavan hoe ttharoor meh mahikaavanaa |

Becoming sandal, they provide coolness to one and all.

ਚੰਦਨ ਚੰਦ ਕਪੂਰ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਾ ।

chandan chand kapoor mel milaavanaa |

Their cool is like the coolness of sandal, moon, and camphor.

ਸਸੀਅਰ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸੂਰ ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝਾਵਣਾ ।

saseear andar soor tapat bujhaavanaa |

Associating the sun (rajas) with the moon (sattv) they assuage its heat.

ਚਰਣ ਕਵਲ ਦੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਾਵਣਾ ।

charan kaval dee dhoor masatak laavanaa |

They put on their forehead the dust of the lotus feet

ਕਾਰਣ ਲਖ ਅੰਕੂਰ ਕਰਣੁ ਕਰਾਵਣਾ ।

kaaran lakh ankoor karan karaavanaa |

And come to know the creator as the root cause of all the causes.

ਵਜਨਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਾਵਣਾ ।੧੩।

vajan anahad toor jot jagaavanaa |13|

When flame (of knowledge) flashes in their heart, the unstruck melody starts ringing.
