SWAYYA

ਫਿਰਿ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਚਲੀਯੇ ਰੀ ਹਹਾ ਬਲ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਪਹਿ ਯੋ ਕਹਿ ਆਈ ॥

fir aise kahiyo chaleeye ree hahaa bal mai har ke peh yo keh aaee |

Then she said thus, “O friend! you go with me, I have come with a promise to Krishna

ਹੋਹੁ ਨ ਆਤੁਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਹਉ ਲ︀ਯਾਵਤ ਹੋ ਉਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਮਨਾਈ ॥

hohu na aatur sree brijanaath hau layaavat ho uhi jaae manaaee |

While coming, I have said this to Krishna, ‘O, the Lord of Braja! do not feel perturbed, I shall go now and persuade and bring Radha with me,’

ਇਤ ਤੂ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨ ਰਹੀ ਸਜਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਪੈ ਤੁ ਚਲੋ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ ॥

eit too kar maan rahee sajanee har pai tu chalo taj kai duchitaaee |

“But here you are sitting in your pride, O friend! you go to Krishna, leaving the duality,

ਤੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੋ ਪੈ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਗਯੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੈ ਕਛੁ ਬਾਤ ਪਰਾਈ ॥੭੦੩॥

to bin mo pai na jaat gayo kahiyo jaanat hai kachh baat paraaee |703|

I shall not be able to go without you, reflect somewhat on another’s words.”703.
