ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥

gur parasaad naam man laagaa |

By Guru's Grace, my mind is attached to the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗਾ ॥

janam janam kaa soeaa jaagaa |

Asleep for so many incarnations, it is now awakened.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

amrit gun ucharai prabh baanee |

I chant the Ambrosial Bani, the Glorious Praises of God.

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥

poore gur kee sumat paraanee |1|

The Pure Teachings of the Perfect Guru have been revealed to me. ||1||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕੁਸਲ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਏ ॥

prabh simarat kusal sabh paae |

Meditating in remembrance on God, I have found total peace.

ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਸਬਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ghar baahar sukh sehaj sabaae |1| rahaau |

Within my home, and outside as well, there is peace and poise all around. ||1||Pause||

ਸੋਈ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਜਿਨਹਿ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥

soee pachhaataa jineh upaaeaa |

I have recognized the One who created me.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥

kar kirapaa prabh aap milaaeaa |

Showing His Mercy, God has blended me with Himself.

ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਲੀਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਅਪਨਾ ॥

baah pakar leeno kar apanaa |

Taking me by the arm, He has made me His Own.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੨॥

har har kathaa sadaa jap japanaa |2|

I continually chant and meditate on the Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har. ||2||

ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਤੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਪੁਨਹਚਾਰੁ ॥

mantru tantru aaukhadh punahachaar |

Mantras, tantras, all-curing medicines and acts of atonement,

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥

har har naam jeea praan adhaar |

are all in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Support of the soul and the breath of life.

ਸਾਚਾ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥

saachaa dhan paaeo har rang |

I have obtained the true wealth of the Lord's Love.

ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੩॥

dutar tare saadh kai sang |3|

I have crossed over the treacherous world-ocean in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||3||

ਸੁਖਿ ਬੈਸਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਸਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥

sukh baisahu sant sajan paravaar |

Sit in peace, O Saints, with the family of friends.

ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਟਿਓ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਹਿ ਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥

har dhan khattio jaa kaa naeh sumaar |

Earn the wealth of the Lord, which is beyond estimation.

ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਇ ॥

jiseh paraapat tis gur dee |

He alone obtains it, unto whom the Guru has bestowed it.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਹੇਇ ॥੪॥੨੭॥੯੬॥

naanak birathaa koe na hee |4|27|96|

O Nanak, no one shall go away empty-handed. ||4||27||96||
