ਜਬ ਕਾਨ ਸੁਨੀ ਧੁਨਿ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੀ ਤਬ ਕੋਪੁ ਕੀਓ ਗਿਰਜਾ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥

jab kaan sunee dhun daitan kee tab kop keeo girajaa man mai |

When the goddess heard the tumult of demons, she was filled with great rage in her mind.,

ਚੜਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਸਭਿ ਆਯੁਧ ਧਾਰ ਤਬੈ ਤਨ ਮੈ ॥

charr singh su sankh bajaae chalee sabh aayudh dhaar tabai tan mai |

She moved immediately, riding on her lion, blowing her conch and carrying all the weapons on her body.,

ਗਿਰ ਤੇ ਉਤਰੀ ਦਲ ਬੈਰਨ ਕੈ ਪਰ ਯੌ ਉਪਮਾ ਉਪਜੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥

gir te utaree dal bairan kai par yau upamaa upajee man mai |

ਨਭ ਤੇ ਬਹਰੀ ਲਖਿ ਛੂਟ ਪਰੀ ਜਨੁ ਕੂਕ ਕੁਲੰਗਨ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਮੈ ॥੧੧੦॥

ਚੰਡ ਕੁਵੰਡ ਤੇ ਬਾਨ ਛੁਟੇ ਇਕ ਤੇ ਦਸ ਸਉ ਤੇ ਸਹੰਸ ਤਹ ਬਾਢੇ ॥

chandd kuvandd te baan chhutte ik te das sau te sahans teh baadte |

ਲਛਕੁ ਹੁਇ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਲਗੇ ਤਨ ਦੈਤਨ ਮਾਝ ਰਹੇ ਗਡਿ ਗਾਢੇ ॥

ਕੋ ਕਵਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਰਾਹ ਕਰੈ ਅਤਿਸੈ ਉਪਮਾ ਜੁ ਭਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਾਢੇ ॥

ko kav taeh saraah karai atisai upamaa ju bhee bin kaadte |

ਫਾਗੁਨਿ ਪਉਨ ਕੇ ਗਉਨ ਭਏ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਤੁ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਰਹੇ ਤਰੁ ਠਾਢੇ ॥੧੧੧॥

ਮੁੰਡ ਲਈ ਕਰਵਾਰ ਹਕਾਰ ਕੈ ਕੇਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥

ਪਾਨ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਸੋ ਖਾਇ ਅਘਾਇ ਮਨੋ ਜਮੁ ਆਪੁਨੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੧੧੨॥

paan gumaan so khaae aghaae mano jam aapunee jeebh nihaare |112|

ਘਾਉ ਕੈ ਦੈਤ ਚਲਿਓ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਦੇਵੀ ਨਿਖੰਗ ਤੇ ਬਾਨ ਸੁ ਕਾਢੇ ॥

ਕਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਲਉ ਖੈਚ ਕਮਾਨ ਚਲਾਵਤ ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਹੁਇ ਬਾਢੇ ॥

kaan pramaan lau khaich kamaan chalaavat ek anek hue baadte |

ਮੁੰਡ ਲੈ ਢਾਲ ਦਈ ਮੁਖ ਓਟਿ ਧਸੇ ਤਿਹ ਮਧਿ ਰਹੇ ਗਡਿ ਗਾਢੇ ॥

mundd lai dtaal dee mukh ott dhase tih madh rahe gadd gaadte |

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਕੂਰਮ ਪੀਠ ਪੈ ਨੀਠ ਭਏ ਸਹਸ ਫਨਿ ਕੇ ਫਨ ਠਾਢੇ ॥੧੧੩॥

ਮਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਧੂਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਚਕਚੂਰ ਗਿਰੇ ਅਰਿ ਪੂਰ ਮਹਾ ਰਨ ਪਾਰਿਓ ॥

maar ke dhoor kee chakachoor gire ar poor mahaa ran paario |

ਫੇਰਿ ਕੇ ਘੇਰਿ ਲਇਓ ਰਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸੁ ਮੁੰਡ ਕੋ ਮੁੰਡ ਜੁਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥

fer ke gher leo ran maeh su mundd ko mundd judaa kar maario |

ਐਸੇ ਪਰਿਓ ਧਰਿ ਊਪਰ ਜਾਇ ਜਿਉ ਬੇਲਹਿ ਤੇ ਕਦੂਆ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰਿਓ ॥੧੧੪॥

aise pario dhar aoopar jaae jiau beleh te kadooaa katt ddaario |114|

ਸਿੰਘ ਚੜੀ ਮੁਖ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਵਤ ਜਿਉ ਘਨ ਮੈ ਤੜਤਾ ਦੁਤਿ ਮੰਡੀ ॥

ਚਕ੍ਰ ਚਲਾਇ ਗਿਰਾਇ ਦਇਓ ਅਰਿ ਭਾਜਤ ਦੈਤ ਬਡੇ ਬਰਬੰਡੀ ॥

chakr chalaae giraae deo ar bhaajat dait badde barabanddee |

She killed the running superb mighty warriors with her disc.,

ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚਨਿ ਮਾਸ ਅਹਾਰ ਕਰੈ ਕਿਲਕਾਰ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਕੇ ਝੰਡੀ ॥

bhoot pisaachan maas ahaar karai kilakaar khilaar ke jhanddee |

The ghosts and goblins are eating the flesh of the dead, raising loud dhouts.,

ਮੁੰਡ ਕੋ ਮੁੰਡ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਇਓ ਅਬ ਚੰਡ ਕੋ ਹਾਥ ਲਗਾਵਤ ਚੰਡੀ ॥੧੧੫॥

mundd ko mundd utaar deo ab chandd ko haath lagaavat chanddee |115|

ਮੁੰਡ ਮਹਾ ਰਨ ਮਧਿ ਹਨਿਓ ਫਿਰ ਕੈ ਬਰ ਚੰਡਿ ਤਬੈ ਇਹ ਕੀਨੋ ॥

ਮਾਰਿ ਬਿਦਾਰ ਦਈ ਸਭ ਸੈਣ ਸੁ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਚੰਡ ਸੋ ਆਹਵ ਕੀਨੋ ॥

maar bidaar dee sabh sain su chanddikaa chandd so aahav keeno |

She killed and destroyed all the forces of the enemy confronting Chand in the war.,

ਲੈ ਬਰਛੀ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਅਰਿ ਕੋ ਸਿਰ ਕੈ ਬਰੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੁਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

lai barachhee kar mai ar ko sir kai bar maar judaa kar deeno |

Taking her dagger in her hand, she struck it with great force on the head of the enemy and separated it from the body.,

ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਹੇਸ ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲ ਗਨੇਸ ਕੋ ਰੁੰਡ ਕੀਓ ਜਨੁ ਮੁੰਡ ਬਿਹੀਨੋ ॥੧੧੬॥

lai ke mahes trisool ganes ko rundd keeo jan mundd biheeno |116|
