ਜੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨ︀ਯਾਇ ਕਰੈ ਨਹੀ ਬੋਲਤ ਝੂਠ ਬਨਾਇ ॥

jo nrip nayaae karai nahee bolat jhootth banaae |

‘The Raja who does not execute justice and depends on falsehood,

ਰਾਜ ਤ︀ਯਾਗ ਤਪਸ︀ਯਾ ਕਰੈ ਪਰੈ ਨਰਕ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੯੧॥

raaj tayaag tapasayaa karai parai narak meh jaae |91|

‘And, after forsaking governance, goes to meditate, he is destined for hell.(91)

ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਮਾਤਾ ਅਰੁ ਤਾਤ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਨਿਤ ॥

bridh maataa ar taat kee sevaa kariyo nit |

‘He should have served his aging mother,

ਤ︀ਯਾਗ ਨ ਬਨ ਕੋ ਜਾਇਯੈ ਯਹੈ ਧਰਮੁ ਸੁਨੁ ਮਿਤ ॥੯੨॥

tayaag na ban ko jaaeiyai yahai dharam sun mit |92|

‘Had listened to the righteousness and not gone to the jungle.(92)

ਜੌ ਹੌ ਜੋਗੀ ਵਹੈ ਹੌ ਪਠੈ ਦਯੋ ਧ੍ਰਮਰਾਇ ॥

jau hau jogee vahai hau patthai dayo dhramaraae |

‘I am the same yogi, whom the Lord of Righteousness had sent.’

ਹੌਂ ਈਹਾ ਬੋਲੈ ਤੁਰਤੁ ਅਪਨੋ ਰੂਪ ਛਪਾਇ ॥੯੩॥

hauan eehaa bolai turat apano roop chhapaae |93|

Thus had spoken the one who had been hiding (behind the cove).(93)

ਜਬ ਜੋਗੀ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਸਮੁਝਾਇ ॥

jab jogee aise kahiyo taeh bhed samujhaae |

When the yogi had made the Raja to understand his explication,

ਸਤਿ ਸਤਿ ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤੀਨ ਬਾਰ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ॥੯੪॥

sat sat tab tin kahiyo teen baar musakaae |94|

He smiled and repeated three times, ‘it is true.’(94)

ਜਿਯਬੋ ਜਗ ਕੌ ਸਹਲ ਹੈ ਯਹੈ ਕਠਿਨ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਕਾਮ ॥

jiyabo jag kau sehal hai yahai katthin dvai kaam |

(And he continued) ‘It is easy to live in this world,

ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਸੰਭਰਿਬੋ ਰਾਜ ਕੋ ਰਾਤਿ ਸੰਭਰਿਬੋ ਰਾਮ ॥੯੫॥

praat sanbharibo raaj ko raat sanbharibo raam |95|

‘But, to run the reign during day and meditate at night, both are not two tiresome duties.’(95)
