Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਹਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਹਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਪਏ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥

mahaa agan te tudh haath de raakhe pe teree saranaaee |

Giving me Your Hand, You saved me from the terrible fire, when I sought Your Sanctuary.

ਤੇਰਾ ਮਾਣੁ ਤਾਣੁ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਆਸ ਚੁਕਾਈ ॥੧॥

teraa maan taan rid antar hor doojee aas chukaaee |1|

Deep within my heart, I respect Your strength; I have abandoned all other hopes. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਤੁਧੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਇਐ ਉਬਰੇ ॥

mere raam raae tudh chit aaeiai ubare |

O my Sovereign Lord, when You enter my consciousness, I am saved.

ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਤੁਮੑਰਾ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮੑਾਰਾ ਉਧਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

teree ttek bharavaasaa tumaraa jap naam tumaaraa udhare |1| rahaau |

You are my support. I count on You. Meditating on You, I am saved. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੀਏ ਤੁਮੑ ਆਪਿ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥

andh koop te kaadt lee tuma aap bhe kirapaalaa |

You pulled me up out of the deep, dark pit. You have become merciful to me.

ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮੑਾਲਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਦੀਏ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥੨॥

saar samaal sarab sukh dee aap kare pratipaalaa |2|

You care for me, and bless me with total peace; You Yourself cherish me. ||2||

ਆਪਣੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਛਡਾਏ ॥

aapanee nadar kare paramesar bandhan kaatt chhaddaae |

The Transcendent Lord has blessed me with His Glance of Grace; breaking my bonds, He has delivered me.

ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਈ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥੩॥

aapanee bhagat prabh aap karaaee aape sevaa laae |3|

God Himself inspires me to worship Him; He Himself inspires me to serve Him. ||3||

ਭਰਮੁ ਗਇਆ ਭੈ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਸਗਲ ਵਿਸੂਰਾ ॥

bharam geaa bhai moh binaase mittiaa sagal visooraa |

My doubts have gone, my fears and infatuations have been dispelled, and all my sorrows are gone.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆ ਕਰੀ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੪॥੫॥੫੨॥

naanak deaa karee sukhadaatai bhettiaa satigur pooraa |4|5|52|

O Nanak, the Lord, the Giver of peace has been merciful to me. I have met the Perfect True Guru. ||4||5||52||
