Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਘਰ ਕਾ ਕਾਜੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਰੂੜਾ ॥

ghar kaa kaaj na jaanee roorraa |

The beautiful one does not know the work of his own home.

ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਰਚਿਓ ਮੂੜਾ ॥੧॥

jhootthai dhandhai rachio moorraa |1|

The fool is engrossed in false attachments. ||1||

ਜਿਤੁ ਤੂੰ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਗਨਾ ॥

jit toon laaveh tith tit laganaa |

As You attach us, so we are attached.

ਜਾ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jaa toon dehi teraa naau japanaa |1| rahaau |

When You bless us with Your Name, we chant it. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥

har ke daas har setee raate |

The Lord's slaves are imbued with the Love of the Lord.

ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੨॥

raam rasaaein anadin maate |2|

They are intoxicated with the Lord, night and day. ||2||

ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਢੇ ॥

baah pakar prabh aape kaadte |

Reaching out to grasp hold of our arms, God lifts us up.

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਢੇ ॥੩॥

janam janam ke ttootte gaadte |3|

Separated for countless incarnations, we are united with Him again. ||3||

ਉਧਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥

audhar suaamee prabh kirapaa dhaare |

Save me, O God, O my Lord and Master - shower me with Your Mercy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੩੫॥

naanak daas har saran duaare |4|29|35|

Slave Nanak seeks Sanctuary at Your Door, O Lord. ||4||29||35||
