ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਹੈ ਕੋ ਕਹਾ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ॥

bin har hai ko kahaa bataavahu |

Tell me: other than the Lord, who exists?

ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਮੈ ਕਰਤਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

sukh samooh karunaa mai karataa tis prabh sadaa dhiaavahu |1| rahaau |

The Creator, the Embodiment of Mercy, bestows all comforts; meditate forever on that God. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੂਤਿ ਪਰੋਏ ਜੰਤਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ॥

jaa kai soot paroe jantaa tis prabh kaa jas gaavahu |

All creatures are strung on His Thread; sing the Praises of that God.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਦੀਨਾ ਆਨ ਕਹਾ ਪਹਿ ਜਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥

simar tthaakur jin sabh kichh deenaa aan kahaa peh jaavahu |1|

Meditate in remembrance on that Lord and Master who gives you everything. Why would you go to anyone else? ||1||

ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥

safal sevaa suaamee mere kee man baanchhat fal paavahu |

Service to my Lord and Master is fruitful and rewarding; from Him, you shall obtain the fruits of your mind's desires.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਾਭੁ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈ ਚਾਲਹੁ ਸੁਖ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵਹੁ ॥੨॥੫੦॥੭੩॥

kahu naanak laabh laahaa lai chaalahu sukh setee ghar jaavahu |2|50|73|

Says Nanak, take your profits and leave; you shall go to your true home in peace. ||2||50||73||
