ਜਾਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਅਘ ਕੰਸਿ ਗਯੋ ਤਹ ਪੰਨਗ ਰੂਪ ਮਹਾ ਧਰਿ ਆਯੋ ॥

jaeh kahiyo agh kans gayo teh panag roop mahaa dhar aayo |

ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ਭਗਨੀ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਬਧ ਕੇ ਮਨਿ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ਤਹਾ ਕਹੁ ਧਾਯੋ ॥

bhraat hanayo bhaganee sun kai badh ke man krudh tahaa kahu dhaayo |

As commanded by Kansa, Aghasura assumed the form of a dreadful snake and went (for his errand) and hearing about the killing of his brother bakasura and his sister Putna, he was also highly infuriated

ਬੈਠਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਮਗ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਬਧ ਕਾਜ ਮਹਾ ਮੁਖ ਬਾਯੋ ॥

baitth rahio tin kai mag mai har ke badh kaaj mahaa mukh baayo |

He sat down in the way, opening widely his dreadful mouth, keeping in his mind, his errand of killing Krishna

ਦੇਖਤ ਤਾਹਿੰ ਸਭੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬਾਲਕ ਖੇਲ ਕਹਾ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੧੭੦॥

dekhat taahin sabhai brij baalak khel kahaa man mai lakh paayo |170|
