ਦੁਇ ਦੁਇ ਅਖੀ ਆਖੀਅਨਿ ਇਕੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦਿਸੈ ।

due due akhee aakheean ik darasan disai |

The eyes are two but they behold the one (Lord).

ਦੁਇ ਦੁਇ ਕੰਨਿ ਵਖਾਣੀਅਨਿ ਇਕ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਲਿਸੈ ।

due due kan vakhaaneean ik surat salisai |

The ears are two but they bring out the one consciousness.

ਦੁਇ ਦੁਇ ਨਦੀ ਕਿਨਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ਨ ਤਿਸੈ ।

due due nadee kinaariaan paaraavaar na tisai |

The river has two banks but they are one through the connection of water and are not separate.

ਇਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਦੁਇ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਇਕ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਰਿਸੈ ।

eik jot due mooratee ik sabad sarisai |

The Guru and the disciple are two identities but one shabad, Word permeates through both of them.

ਗੁਰ ਚੇਲਾ ਚੇਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਝਾਏ ਕਿਸੈ ।੧੬।

gur chelaa chelaa guroo samajhaae kisai |16|

When the Guru is disciple and the disciple Guru, who can make the other understand.
