ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਪਠਾਏ ॥

des des paradhaan patthaae |

ਨਰਪਤਿ ਸਬ ਦੇਸਨ ਤੇ ਲ︀ਯਾਏ ॥

narapat sab desan te layaae |

He sent his envoys to various countries, who brought the kings of all those countries

ਆਇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਕੀਨ ਜੁਹਾਰੂ ॥

aae nripat ko keen juhaaroo |

ਦਯੋ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਧਨੁ ਤਿਨ ਉਪਹਾਰੂ ॥੧੦੩੧॥

dayo bahut dhan tin upahaaroo |1031|

They reverently, bowed before the king and gave great amount of money as present.1031.

ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿ ਬਹੁ ਸੁਭਟ ਬੁਲਾਏ ॥

jaraasandh bahu subhatt bulaae |

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੰਧਾਏ ॥

bhaat bhaat ke sasatr bandhaae |

Jarasandh called many warriors and equipped them with various kinds of weapons

ਗਜ ਬਾਜਨ ਪਰ ਪਾਖਰ ਡਾਰੀ ॥

gaj baajan par paakhar ddaaree |

ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਕੰਚਨ ਸਿਰੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧੦੩੨॥

sir par kanchan siree savaaree |1032|

The saddles were tightened on the backs of the elephants and horses and the crowns of gold were worn on the heads.1032.

ਪਾਇਕ ਰਥ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਜੁਰਿ ਆਏ ॥

paaeik rath bahute jur aae |

ਭੂਪਤਿ ਆਗੇ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾਏ ॥

bhoopat aage sees nivaae |

ਅਪਨੀ ਅਪਨੀ ਮਿਸਲ ਸਭ ਗਏ ॥

apanee apanee misal sabh ge |

ਪਾਤਿ ਜੋਰ ਕਰਿ ਠਾਢੇ ਭਏ ॥੧੦੩੩॥

Many warriors gathered there both on foot and on chariots and they all bowed their heads before the king. They joined their own divisions and stood in ranks.1033.
