Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਐਸੀ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਜਨ ਸਿਉ ਮੰਗਾ ॥
aisee deekhiaa jan siau mangaa |
I ask for such advice from Your humble servants,
ਤੁਮੑਰੋ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੋ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
tumaro dhiaan tumaaro rangaa |
that I may meditate on You, and love You,
ਤੁਮੑਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੇ ਅੰਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tumaree sevaa tumaare angaa |1| rahaau |
and serve You, and become part and parcel of Your Being. ||1||Pause||
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਸੰਭਾਖਨੁ ਜਨ ਸਿਉ ਊਠਨੁ ਬੈਠਨੁ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
jan kee ttehal sanbhaakhan jan siau aootthan baitthan jan kai sangaa |
I serve His humble servants, and speak with them, and abide with them.
ਜਨ ਚਰ ਰਜ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਥੈ ਲਾਗੀ ਆਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਨੰਤ ਤਰੰਗਾ ॥੧॥
jan char raj mukh maathai laagee aasaa pooran anant tarangaa |1|
I apply the dust of the feet of His humble servants to my face and forehead; my hopes, and the many waves of desire, are fulfilled. ||1||
ਜਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਜਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਤੀਰਥ ਕੋਟਿ ਗੰਗਾ ॥
jan paarabraham jaa kee niramal mahimaa jan ke charan teerath kott gangaa |
Immaculate and pure are the praises of the humble servants of the Supreme Lord God; the feet of His humble servants are equal to millions of sacred shrines of pilgrimage.
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਕੀਓ ਮਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਹਰੇ ਕਲੰਗਾ ॥੨॥੪॥੧੨੦॥
jan kee dhoor keeo majan naanak janam janam ke hare kalangaa |2|4|120|
Nanak bathes in the dust of the feet of His humble servants; the sinful resides of countless incarnations have been washed away. ||2||4||120||
