ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਸਭ ਤਹ ਚਲਿ ਜਾਹੀ ॥

nar naaree sabh teh chal jaahee |

ਅਛਤ ਧੂਪ ਕੁੰਕਮਹਿ ਲਾਹੀ ॥

achhat dhoop kunkameh laahee |

Men and women would walk to the place burning incense and sprinkling saffron.

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਗੀਤਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥

bhaat bhaat ke geetan gaavai |

ਸਰਬ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਕੋ ਸਿਰ ਨਯਾਵੈ ॥੫॥

sarab mangalaa ko sir nayaavai |5|

They would recite Sundry songs to appease goddess, Mangal.(5)

ਜੋ ਇਛਾ ਕੋਊ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਧਰੈ ॥

jo ichhaa koaoo man mai dharai |

ਜਾਇ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਭਵਨ ਉਚਰੈ ॥

jaae bhavaanee bhavan ucharai |

What ever they wished for in their minds, they would go and express to Bhawani.

ਪੂਰਨ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਹੋਈ ॥

pooran bhaavanaa tin kee hoee |

ਬਾਲ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਜਾਨਤ ਸਭ ਕੋਈ ॥੬॥

baal bridh jaanat sabh koee |6|

And Bhawani would gratify all, the young and the old.(6)
