ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ॥

kahiyo nripat muhi bhed bataavahu |

ਰੋਸਨ ਰਾਇ ਨ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਲਜਾਵਹੁ ॥

rosan raae na hridai lajaavahu |

Raja said, ‘Reveal the secret to me and don’t hesitate at all.

ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕਹੀ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਮੈ ਰਾਖੋ ॥

tumaree kahee hridai mai raakho |

ਭੇਦ ਔਰ ਤਨ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਭਾਖੋ ॥੨੦॥

bhed aauar tan kachhoo na bhaakho |20|

‘Whatever you tell me, I will preserve it in my heart and will not betray.’(20)
