ROOAAL STANZA

ਸੁਵਰਨ ਕੀ ਨ ਇਤੀ ਕਮੀ ਜਉ ਟੁਟ ਹੈ ਬਹੁ ਬਰਖ ॥

suvaran kee na itee kamee jau ttutt hai bahu barakh |

“There is no shortage of gold and inspite of donating it for many years, it will not go out of stock

ਹਸਤ ਕੀ ਨ ਕਮੀ ਮੁਝੈ ਹਯ ਸਾਰ ਲੀਜੈ ਪਰਖ ॥

hasat kee na kamee mujhai hay saar leejai parakh |

Took at the house of elephants and the stable of horses, there is no shortage of them

ਅਉਰ ਜਉ ਧਨ ਚਾਹੀਯੈ ਸੋ ਲੀਜੀਯੈ ਅਬਿਚਾਰ ॥

aaur jau dhan chaaheeyai so leejeeyai abichaar |

ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਕਰੋ ਸੁਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥੧੨੬॥

chit mai na kachhoo karo sun mantr mitr avataar |126|

“O minister-friend! do not have any doubt in your mind and whatever wealth is wanted, take it immediately.”126.

ਯਉ ਜਬੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਉਚਰ︀ਯੋ ਤਬ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਬਰ ਸੁਨਿ ਬੈਨ ॥

yau jabai nrip ucharayo tab mantr bar sun bain |

ਹਾਥ ਜੋਰਿ ਸਲਾਮ ਕੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨੀਚ ਕੈ ਜੁਗ ਨੈਨ ॥

haath jor salaam kai nrip neech kai jug nain |

When the king said like this, then the minister closed his eyes and bowed before the king with folded hands

ਅਉਰ ਏਕ ਸੁਨੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੋਤਮ ਉਚਰੌਂ ਇਕ ਗਾਥ ॥

aaur ek suno nripotam ucharauan ik gaath |

ਜੌਨ ਮਧਿ ਸੁਨੀ ਪੁਰਾਨਨ ਅਉਰ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਾਥ ॥੧੨੭॥

jauan madh sunee puraanan aaur sinmrit saath |127|

“O king! listen to another thing, which I have heard in the form of a discourse on the basis of Purans and Smritis.”127.
