ਬੈਠਿ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿਨਿ ਦੈਤ ਅਘਾਸੁਰ ਕੋ ਕਹੁ ਜਾਵੈ ॥

baitth bichaar kariyo nrip mantrin dait aghaasur ko kahu jaavai |

ਮਾਰਗੁ ਰੋਕ ਰਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਧਰਿ ਪੰਨਗ ਰੂਪ ਮਹਾ ਮੁਖ ਬਾਵੈ ॥

maarag rok rahai tin ko dhar panag roop mahaa mukh baavai |

The king Kansa, after holding consultations with his ministers asked Aghasura to go to Braja, so that he may assume the form of dreadful snake and lie down in the way

ਆਇ ਪਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਗ੍ਵਾਰ ਸਨੈ ਚਬਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥

aae parai har jee jab hee tab hee sabh gvaar sanai chab jaavai |

And when Krishna comes to that side, he may chew him alongwith the gopas

ਆਇ ਹੈ ਖਾਇ ਤਿਨੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੰਸ ਕਿ ਨਾਤੁਰ ਆਪਨੋ ਜੀਉ ਗਵਾਵੈ ॥੧੬੯॥

aae hai khaae tinai sun kans ki naatur aapano jeeo gavaavai |169|

Either Aghasura should come back after chewing them or failing in this endeavour, he should be killed by Kansa.169.
