Basant, Third Mehl:

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ॥

antar poojaa man te hoe |

One who worships the Lord within his mind,

ਏਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

eko vekhai aaur na koe |

sees the One and Only Lord, and no other.

ਦੂਜੈ ਲੋਕੀ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

doojai lokee bahut dukh paaeaa |

People in duality suffer terrible pain.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੈਨੋ ਏਕੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

satigur maino ek dikhaaeaa |1|

The True Guru has shown me the One Lord. ||1||

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਸਦ ਬਸੰਤੁ ॥

meraa prabh mauliaa sad basant |

My God is in bloom, forever in spring.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਗਾਇ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

eihu man mauliaa gaae gun gobind |1| rahaau |

This mind blossoms forth, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਛਹੁ ਤੁਮੑ ਕਰਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥

gur poochhahu tuma karahu beechaar |

So consult the Guru, and reflect upon His wisdom;

ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਚੇ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

taan prabh saache lagai piaar |

then, you shall be in love with the True Lord God.

ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਹੋਹਿ ਦਾਸਤ ਭਾਇ ॥

aap chhodd hohi daasat bhaae |

Abandon your self-conceit, and be His loving servant.

ਤਉ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥

tau jagajeevan vasai man aae |2|

Then, the Life of the World shall come to dwell in your mind. ||2||

ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਸਦ ਵੇਖੈ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥

bhagat kare sad vekhai hajoor |

Worship Him with devotion, and see Him always ever-present, close at hand.

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥

meraa prabh sad rahiaa bharapoor |

My God is forever permeating and pervading all.

ਇਸੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਭੇਉ ॥

eis bhagatee kaa koee jaanai bheo |

Only a rare few know the mystery of this devotional worship.

ਸਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਦੇਉ ॥੩॥

sabh meraa prabh aatam deo |3|

My God is the Enlightener of all souls. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥

aape satigur mel milaae |

The True Guru Himself unites us in His Union.

ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਸਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥

jagajeevan siau aap chit laae |

He Himself links our consciousness to the Lord, the Life of the World.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥

man tan hariaa sehaj subhaae |

Thus, our minds and bodies are rejuvenated with intuitive ease.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥੪॥੪॥

naanak naam rahe liv laae |4|4|

O Nanak, through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, we remain attuned to the String of His Love. ||4||4||
