ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਜਾਇ ਕਹੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਜਹ ਤਾਲ ਵਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਹੈ ਫਲ ਨੀਕੇ ॥

jaae kahee tin ko har jee jeh taal vahai ar hai fal neeke |

Krishna told all his companions that the fruit of that tank are really good

ਬੋਲਿ ਉਠਿਓ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਮੁਸਲੀ ਸੁ ਤੋ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੇ ਨਹਿ ਹੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਫੀਕੇ ॥

bol utthio mukh te musalee su to amrit ke neh hai fun feeke |

Balram also said at that time that the nectar is insipid before them

ਮਾਰ ਹੈ ਦੈਤ ਤਹਾ ਚਲ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਤੇ ਸੁਰ ਜਾਹਿ ਨਭੈ ਦੁਖ ਜੀ ਕੇ ॥

maar hai dait tahaa chal kai jih te sur jaeh nabhai dukh jee ke |

Let us go there and kill the demon, so that the suffering of the gods in heaven (sky) be removed.

ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਚਲੇ ਤਹ ਕੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਇ ਸਭੈ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਕੇ ॥੧੯੮॥

hoe prasan chale teh ko mil sankh bajaae sabhai muralee ke |198|

In this way, all being pleased and playing on their flutes and conches proceeded to that side.198.

ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਤਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਜੁ ਗਏ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਤਟ ਪੈ ਸਰ ਭਾਰੇ ॥

hoe prasan tahaa har jee ju ge mil kai tatt pai sar bhaare |

Krishna, being pleased, accompanying all, went towards the bank of that tank

ਕੈ ਬਲ ਤੋ ਮੁਸਲੀ ਤਨ ਕੋ ਤਰੁ ਤੇ ਫਰ ਬੂੰਦਨ ਜਿਉ ਧਰਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥

kai bal to musalee tan ko tar te far boondan jiau dhar ddaare |

Balram knocked off the fruit of that tree which fell like the drops on the earth

ਧੇਨਕ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਹਾ ਕਰ ਕੈ ਦੋਊ ਪਾਇ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥

dhenak krodh mahaa kar kai doaoo paae hride tih saath prahaare |

With great rage, the demon Dhenuka struck with both feet together on his chest,

ਗੋਡਨ ਤੇ ਗਹਿ ਫੈਕ ਦਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਿਉ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਗਹਿ ਕੂਕਰ ਮਾਰੇ ॥੧੯੯॥

goddan te geh faik dayo har jiau sir te geh kookar maare |199|

But Krishna, catching his legs, threw him like a dog.199.

ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਭਈ ਧੁਜਨੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਪਤਿ ਜਾਨ ਹਤਿਓ ਇਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਈ ॥

krodh bhee dhujanee tih kee pat jaan hatio in aoopar aaee |

Then the army of that demon, considering their general as killed,

ਗਾਇ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਧਰਿਓ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਖੁਰ ਸੋ ਧਰਿ ਧੂਰਿ ਉਚਾਈ ॥

gaae ko roop dhario sabh hee tab hee khur so dhar dhoor uchaaee |

Assumed the form of cows and in great fury, raising dust, attacked them

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਹਲੀ ਬਲਿ ਕੈ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਚਤੁਰੰਗ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸ ਬੀਚ ਬਗਾਈ ॥

kaanrah halee bal kai tab hee chaturang daso dis beech bagaaee |

Krishna and mighty Haldhar caused that four-typed army fly away in all the ten directions

ਲੈ ਕਿਰਸਾਨ ਮਨੋ ਤੰਗੁਲੀ ਖਲ ਦਾਨਨ ਜ︀ਯੋ ਨਭ ਬੀਚਿ ਉਡਾਈ ॥੨੦੦॥

lai kirasaan mano tangulee khal daanan jayo nabh beech uddaaee |200|

Like a farmer causes the chaff to fly away at the threshing floor, while separating it from the grain.200.
