ਦੁਧੁ ਦੇਇ ਖੜੁ ਖਾਇ ਨ ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਇਆ ।

dudh dee kharr khaae na aap ganaaeaa |

Standing into a pit they yield milk and do not pose to be counted, i.e. the animals do not have the ego.

ਦੁਧਹੁ ਦਹੀ ਜਮਾਇ ਘਿਉ ਨਿਪਜਾਇਆ ।

dudhahu dahee jamaae ghiau nipajaaeaa |

Milk is converted into curd and the butter comes thereof.

ਗੋਹਾ ਮੂਤੁ ਲਿੰਬਾਇ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਇਆ ।

gohaa moot linbaae pooj karaaeaa |

With their dung and urine, the earth is plastered to offer worship;

ਛਤੀਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਖਾਇ ਕੁਚੀਲ ਕਰਾਇਆ ।

chhateeh amrit khaae kucheel karaaeaa |

But while eating variety of goods man turns them into abominable faeces, useless for any purpose.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਚਲਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ।

saadhasangat chal jaae satigur dhiaaeaa |

Those who have worshipped Lord in the holy congregation, their life is blessed and successful.

ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਜਗਿ ਆਇ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਪਾਇਆ ।੧੧।

safal janam jag aae sukh fal paaeaa |11|

Only they get the fruit of life on earth.
