ਹੇਰਿ ਬਡੋ ਹਰਿ ਭੈ ਵਹ ਪੰਨਗ ਪੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਉਠਿ ਭਾਗਾ ॥

her baddo har bhai veh panag pai apane grih ko utth bhaagaa |

ਬਾਰੂ ਕੇ ਮਧਿ ਗਯੋ ਪਰ ਕੈ ਜਨ ਸੋਇ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਖ ਕੈ ਨਿਸਿ ਜਾਗਾ ॥

baaroo ke madh gayo par kai jan soe rahiyo sukh kai nis jaagaa |

Krishna saw that huge snake got up and moved back to its own place and lying on the sand wanted to sleep comfortably as though he had remained awake for several nights

ਗਰਬ ਗਯੋ ਗਿਰ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਰਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਸੋ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਾ ॥

garab gayo gir kai tih ko ran kai har ke ras so anuraagaa |

His pride had been smashed and he was absorbed in the love of the Lord

ਲੇਟ ਰਹਿਓ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਪਮਾ ਇਹ ਡਾਰਿ ਚਲੇ ਕਿਰਸਾਨ ਸੁਹਾਗਾ ॥੨੧੮॥

lett rahio kar ke upamaa ih ddaar chale kirasaan suhaagaa |218|

He began to praise the Lord and lay down there like the unused manure left in the field by the farmer.218.

ਸੁਧਿ ਭਈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਕੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਉਠ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਨ ਲਾਗਿਓ ॥

sudh bhee jab hee uh ko tab hee utth kai har paaein laagio |

When the consciousness of the snake returned, he fell at the feet of Krishna

ਪਉਢਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਥਕ ਕੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਮੋ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਿਓ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਜਾਗਿਓ ॥

paudt rahio thak kai sun mo pat paae lagio jab hee fun jaagio |

“O Lord! Being tired, I had slept and on waking, I have come to touch your feet.”

ਦੀ ਧਰਿ ਮੋਰਿ ਸੁ ਨੈਕੁ ਬਿਖੈ ਤੁਮ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਉਠਿ ਭਾਗਿਓ ॥

dee dhar mor su naik bikhai tum kaanrah kahee tih ko utth bhaagio |

ਦੇਖਿ ਲਤਾ ਤੁਮ ਕਉ ਨ ਬਧੈ ਮਮ ਬਾਹਨ ਮੋ ਰਸ ਮੋ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਿਓ ॥੨੧੯॥

dekh lataa tum kau na badhai mam baahan mo ras mo anuraagio |219|

Krishna said, ”Whatever I have said, you act on it and observe the Dharma (discipline) and O women! Undoubtedly my vehicle Garuda was desirous of killing him, but still I have not killed him.”219.
