Jaitsree, Ninth Mehl:

ਮਨ ਰੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਗਹੋ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥

man re saachaa gaho bichaaraa |

O mind, embrace true contemplation.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮਾਨੋ ਸਗਰੋ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

raam naam bin mithiaa maano sagaro ihu sansaaraa |1| rahaau |

Without the Lord's Name, know that this whole world is false. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਜੋਗੀ ਖੋਜਤ ਹਾਰੇ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਾਹਿ ਤਿਹ ਪਾਰਾ ॥

jaa kau jogee khojat haare paaeo naeh tih paaraa |

The Yogis are tired of searching for Him, but they have not found His limit.

ਸੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਪਛਾਨੋ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਰਾ ॥੧॥

so suaamee tum nikatt pachhaano roop rekh te niaaraa |1|

You must understand that the Lord and Master is near at hand, but He has no form or feature. ||1||

ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਾਹਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਾ ॥

paavan naam jagat mai har ko kabahoo naeh sanbhaaraa |

The Naam, the Name of the Lord is purifying in the world, and yet you never remember it.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਜਗ ਬੰਦਨ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੩॥

naanak saran pario jag bandan raakhahu birad tuhaaraa |2|3|

Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the One, before whom the whole world bows down; please, preserve and protect me, by Your innate nature. ||2||3||
