ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਛਿਨ ਕੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਰ ॥

prabal singh dachhin ko nrip bar |

ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਨਿ ਕੋ ਧਨ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ॥

bahu bhaatan ko dhan taa ke ghar |

There lived a propitious Raja called Parbal Singh in the South who had lot of wealth.

ਚਾਰੁ ਚਛੁ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਹਈ ॥

chaar chachh taa kee triy rahee |

ਜੋ ਵਹੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਰਈ ॥੧॥

jo vahu kahai su raajaa karee |1|

He had a wife whose eyes were very beautiful and whatever she said Raja would do.(1)

ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਵਹੁ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁਨੀਜੈ ॥

at sundar vahu naar suneejai |

ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪਟਤਰ ਕਾ ਕੋ ਦੀਜੈ ॥

taa ko pattatar kaa ko deejai |

As she was very pretty no body could compete with her.

ਰਾਜਾ ਅਧਿਕ ਪ︀ਯਾਰ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਖੈ ॥

raajaa adhik payaar tih raakhai |

ਕਟੁ ਬਚ ਕਦੀ ਨ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਭਾਖੈ ॥੨॥

katt bach kadee na mukh te bhaakhai |2|

Raja kept her in utmost respect and never spoke harsh to her.(2)

ਬੰਗਸ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕਹਲਾਵੈ ॥

bangas ke raaje kahalaavai |

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥

bhaat bhaat ke bhog kamaavai |

They were known as the rulers of Bangash and they revelled in various love-makings.

ਇਕ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨਰ ਰਾਨੀ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥

eik sundar nar raanee lahiyo |

ਤਬ ਹੀ ਆਨਿ ਮੈਨ ਤਿਹ ਗਹਿਯੋ ॥੩॥

tab hee aan main tih gahiyo |3|

But, when Rani saw a handsome man, she was overpowered by the Cupid.(3)

ਤਾ ਸੌ ਨੇਹੁ ਰਾਨਿਯਹਿ ਕੀਨੋ ॥

taa sau nehu raaniyeh keeno |

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਅਮਿਤ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

grih te kaadt amit dhan deeno |

Rani loved him a lot and, then, giving him a lot of wealth banished him I from the house.

ਤਿਹ ਜਾਰਹਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸਿਖਾਯੋ ॥

tih jaareh ih bhaat sikhaayo |

ਆਪੁ ਚਰਿਤ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥੪॥

aap charit ih bhaat banaayo |4|

She had trained the lover to perform a strange Chritar.(4)
