ਨਹ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਨਮੈ ਨਹ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਰੈ ॥

neh kichh janamai neh kichh marai |

Nothing is born, and nothing dies.

ਆਪਨ ਚਲਿਤੁ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰੈ ॥

aapan chalit aap hee karai |

He Himself stages His own drama.

ਆਵਨੁ ਜਾਵਨੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਅਨਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ॥

aavan jaavan drisatt anadrisatt |

Coming and going, seen and unseen,

ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ॥

aagiaakaaree dhaaree sabh srisatt |

all the world is obedient to His Will.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਸਗਲ ਮਹਿ ਆਪਿ ॥

aape aap sagal meh aap |

He Himself is All-in-Himself.

ਅਨਿਕ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਰਚਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਿ ॥

anik jugat rach thaap uthaap |

In His many ways, He establishes and disestablishes.

ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਖੰਡ ॥

abinaasee naahee kichh khandd |

He is Imperishable; nothing can be broken.

ਧਾਰਣ ਧਾਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ॥

dhaaran dhaar rahio brahamandd |

He lends His Support to maintain the Universe.

ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥

alakh abhev purakh parataap |

Unfathomable and Inscrutable is the Glory of the Lord.

ਆਪਿ ਜਪਾਏ ਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਪ ॥੬॥

aap japaae ta naanak jaap |6|

As He inspires us to meditate, O Nanak, so do we meditate. ||6||
