ਸਭ ਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੋ ਹਨਿਹੌ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਸੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬਚ ਕੋਪ ਕੀਯੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ॥

sabh satran ko hanihau chhin mai su kahiyo bach kop keeyo man mai |

‘I will invalidate all the enemies in an instant,’ thus thinking she was filled with wrath,

ਤਰਵਾਰਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਮਹਾ ਬਲ ਧਾਰਿ ਧਵਾਇ ਕੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਸੀ ਰਨ ਮੈ ॥

taravaar sanbhaar mahaa bal dhaar dhavaae kai singh dhasee ran mai |

Brandishing the sword, mounting the lion, she forced herself into the battlefield.

ਜਗ ਮਾਤ ਕੇ ਆਯੁਧੁ ਹਾਥਨ ਮੈ ਚਮਕੈ ਐਸੇ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਮੈ ॥

jag maat ke aayudh haathan mai chamakai aise daitan ke gan mai |

The weapons of the Matriarch of the Universe sparkled in the flocks

ਲਪਕੈ ਝਪਕੈ ਬੜਵਾਨਲ ਕੀ ਦਮਕੈ ਮਨੋ ਬਾਰਿਧ ਕੇ ਬਨ ਮੈ ॥੩੧॥

lapakai jhapakai barravaanal kee damakai mano baaridh ke ban mai |31|

Of demons, like the sea-waves swinging in the sea.(31)

ਕੋਪ ਅਖੰਡ ਕੈ ਚੰਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਮਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਗਹੀ ॥

kop akhandd kai chandd prachandd miaan te kaadt kripaan gahee |

Flying in rage, in fury, the goddess unsheathed the passionate sword.

ਦਲ ਦੇਵ ਔ ਦੈਤਨ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਾ ਲਖਿ ਤੇਗ ਛਟਾ ਛਬ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ॥

dal dev aau daitan kee pratinaa lakh teg chhattaa chhab reejh rahee |

Both, the deities and demons were bewildered to see the grace of the sword.

ਸਿਰ ਚਿਛੁਰ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਪਰੀ ਨਹਿ ਮੋ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਤ ਕਹੀ ॥

sir chichhur ke ih bhaat paree neh mo te prabhaa tih jaat kahee |

It struck such a blow on the head of Devil Chakharshuk that I could not narrate.

ਰਿਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਫਾਰਿ ਪਹਾਰ ਸੇ ਬੈਰੀ ਪਤਾਰ ਲਗੇ ਤਰਵਾਰਿ ਬਹੀ ॥੩੨॥

rip maar kai faar pahaar se bairee pataar lage taravaar bahee |32|

The sword, slaying the enemies, flew up the mountains and, slaying the enemies, reached supernal region.(32)
