ਅਥ ਮਾਛੀ ਸਪਤਮੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਥਨੰ ॥

Now begins the description of Fisherman as the Seventh Guru

ਆਗੇ ਚਲਾ ਰਾਜ ਸੰਨ︀ਯਾਸਾ ॥

aage chalaa raaj sanayaasaa |

ਮਹਾ ਬਿਮਲ ਮਨ ਭਯੋ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥

mahaa bimal man bhayo udaasaa |

That great ascetic Dutt, of the pure mind moved further

ਨਿਰਖਾ ਤਹਾ ਏਕ ਮਛਹਾ ॥

nirakhaa tahaa ek machhahaa |

ਲਏ ਜਾਰ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਕਹਾ ॥੧੯੨॥

le jaar kar jaat na kahaa |192|

There he saw a Fisherman going with his net.192.

ਬਿਨਛੀ ਏਕ ਹਾਥ ਮੋ ਧਾਰੇ ॥

binachhee ek haath mo dhaare |

ਜਰੀਆ ਅੰਧ ਕੰਧ ਪਰ ਡਾਰੇ ॥

jareea andh kandh par ddaare |

He was holding his lance in one of his hands and was carrying the net on one shoulder

ਇਸਥਿਤ ਏਕ ਮਛਿ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥

eisathit ek machh kee aasaa |

ਜਾਨੁਕ ਵਾ ਕੇ ਮਧ ਨ ਸਾਸਾ ॥੧੯੩॥

jaanuk vaa ke madh na saasaa |193|

He was standing there for the sake of the fish in such a way as if his body had become breathless.193.

ਏਕਸੁ ਠਾਢ ਮਛ ਕੀ ਆਸੂ ॥

ekas tthaadt machh kee aasoo |

ਰਾਜ ਪਾਟ ਤੇ ਜਾਨ ਉਦਾਸੂ ॥

raaj paatt te jaan udaasoo |

He was standing with the desire of catching one fish in such a way as if someone standing with patience and detached from all his paraphernalia

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਨੇਹ ਨਾਥ ਸੌ ਲਈਐ ॥

eih bidh neh naath sau leeai |

ਤਬ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਹ ਪਈਐ ॥੧੯੪॥

tab hee pooran purakh keh peeai |194|

Dutt thought that if such a love was observed for the sake of the Lord, then that perfect Purusha i.e. the Lo

ਇਤਿ ਮਾਛੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਪਤਮੋ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥੭॥

eit maachhee guroo sapatamo samaapatan |7|
