BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA

ਭਯੋ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕੋਪੰ ਧਰਿਯੋ ਸੂਲ ਪਾਣੰ ॥

bhayo rudr kopan dhariyo sool paanan |

ਕਰੇ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਸਰਬ ਖਾਲੀ ਪਲਾਣੰ ॥

kare sooramaa sarab khaalee palaanan |

In great ire, Rudra held his trident in his hand and vacating the saddles of many horses, he killed many warriors.

ਉਤੇ ਏਕ ਦਛੰ ਇਤੈ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਏਕੰ ॥

aute ek dachhan itai rudr ekan |

ਕਰਿਯੋ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਜੁਧ ਭਾਤੰ ਅਨੇਕੰ ॥੪੫॥

kariyo kop kai judh bhaatan anekan |45|

On the other side Daksha was alone on this side, Rudra was also alone both of them highly infuriated, waged the war in many ways.45.

ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਜਾਨੁ ਕੂਟਸਥਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਮੂਲੰ ॥

giriyo jaan koottasathalee brichh moolan |

ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਦਛ ਤੈਸੇ ਕਟਿਯੋ ਸੀਸ ਸੂਲੰ ॥

giriyo dachh taise kattiyo sees soolan |

Rudra chopped the head Daksha with his trident and he fell down like an uprooted tree.

ਪਰਿਯੋ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜੰ ਭਯੋ ਦੇਹ ਘਾਤੰ ॥

pariyo raaj raajan bhayo deh ghaatan |

ਹਨਿਯੋ ਜਾਨ ਬਜ੍ਰੰ ਭਯੋ ਪਬ ਪਾਤੰ ॥੪੬॥

haniyo jaan bajran bhayo pab paatan |46|

Daksha, the king of kings, fell down after his head was cut and he looked like the fallen mountain, whose wings had been cut by Indra with his weapon Vajra.46.

ਗਯੋ ਗਰਬ ਸਰਬੰ ਭਜੋ ਸੂਰਬੀਰੰ ॥

gayo garab saraban bhajo soorabeeran |

ਚਲਿਯੋ ਭਾਜ ਅੰਤਹਪੁਰ ਹੁਐ ਅਧੀਰੰ ॥

chaliyo bhaaj antahapur huai adheeran |

All the pride of Daksha was shattered and the mighty Rudra destroyed him completely.

ਗਰੇ ਡਾਰ ਅੰਚਰ ਪਰੈ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

gare ddaar anchar parai rudr paayo |

ਅਹੋ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕੀਜੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੈ ਸਹਾਯੰ ॥੪੭॥

aho rudr keejai kripaa kai sahaayan |47|

Then Rudra, getting impatient, speedily came to Antaipura, where everyone came with the cloth around his neck and falling at his feet said, “O Rudra be merciful to us, protect and help us”.47.
