ਸੁਨਹੁ ਮਛਿੰਦ੍ਰ ਬੈਨ ਕਹੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਬਾਤ ਬਿਚਛਨ ॥

sunahu machhindr bain kaho tuhi baat bichachhan |

O Matsyendra! listen, I tell you a distincitive thing

ਇਕ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਅਬਿਬੇਕ ਜਗਤ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁਲਛਨ ॥

eik bibek abibek jagat dvai nripat sulachhan |

Vivek and Avivek both are the kings of distinct characteristics (of the world)

ਬਡ ਜੋਧਾ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਸੰਗ ਬਡੇ ਦੋਊ ਆਪ ਧਨੁਰਧਰ ॥

badd jodhaa duhoon sang badde doaoo aap dhanuradhar |

Both are great fighters and archers

ਏਕ ਜਾਤਿ ਇਕ ਪਾਤਿ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਮਾਤ ਜੋਧਾਬਰ ॥

ek jaat ik paat ek hee maat jodhaabar |

Both have the same caste and the same mother

ਇਕ ਤਾਤ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਬੰਸ ਪੁਨਿ ਬੈਰ ਭਾਵ ਦੁਹ ਕਿਮ ਗਹੋ ॥

eik taat ek hee bans pun bair bhaav duh kim gaho |

Both have the same father and the same dynasty, then how can there be enmity between them?

ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਠਾਮ ਆਭਰਣ ਰਥ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਬ ਮੁਨਿ ਕਹੋ ॥੧੬੮॥
