Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾ ॥

simar simar taa kau hau jeevaa |

Meditating, meditating in remembrance on Him, I live.

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ॥੧॥

charan kamal tere dhoe dhoe peevaa |1|

I wash Your Lotus Feet, and drink in the wash water. ||1||

ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥

so har meraa antarajaamee |

He is my Lord, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.

ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhagat janaa kai sang suaamee |1| rahaau |

My Lord and Master abides with His humble devotees. ||1||Pause||

ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਾ ॥

sun sun amrit naam dhiaavaa |

Hearing, hearing Your Ambrosial Naam, I meditate on it.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥੨॥

aatth pehar tere gun gaavaa |2|

Twenty-four hours a day, I sing Your Glorious Praises. ||2||

ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਲੀਲਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਨੰਦਾ ॥

pekh pekh leelaa man aanandaa |

Beholding, beholding Your divine play, my mind is in bliss.

ਗੁਣ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੩॥

gun apaar prabh paramaanandaa |3|

Your Glorious Virtues are infinite, O God, O Lord of supreme bliss. ||3||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਕਛੁ ਭਉ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥

jaa kai simaran kachh bhau na biaapai |

Meditating in remembrance on Him, fear cannot touch me.

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੧੭॥

sadaa sadaa naanak har jaapai |4|11|17|

Forever and ever, Nanak meditates on the Lord. ||4||11||17||
