ਸਿਵ ਕੌ ਜਮ ਕੌ ਰਵਿ ਕੌ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੈ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਕੋ ਨੰਦ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਧਾਨੀ ॥

siv kau jam kau rav kau sang lai basudev ko nand chaliyo ran dhaanee |

ਮਾਰਤ ਹੋ ਅਰਿ ਕੈ ਅਰਿ ਕੋ ਹਰ ਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਖਤ ਯੌ ਮੁਖ ਬਾਨੀ ॥

maarat ho ar kai ar ko har ko har bhaakhat yau mukh baanee |

Vasudev, the son of Vasudev accompanied by Shiva, Yama and Surya went towards the battlefield and Krishna said to Brahma, “We have to kill the enemy definitely, stabilising ourselves”

ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਘਨੇ ਉਮਡੇ ਭਟ ਪਾਨਨ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨਨਿ ਤਾਨੀ ॥

sayaam ke sang ghane umadde bhatt paanan baan kamaanan taanee |

ਆਇ ਭਿਰੇ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਅਸੰਕ ਭਏ ਕਛੁ ਸੰਕ ਨ ਮਾਨੀ ॥੧੬੬੧॥

aae bhire kharrages ke sang asank bhe kachh sank na maanee |1661|

Many warriors rushed forward in the company of Krishna and holding their bows and arrows, came to fight with Kharag Singh fearlessly.1661.

ਗਿਆਰਹ ਘਾਇਲ ਕੈ ਸਿਵ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਸੂਰਨਿ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਕਾਟੇ ॥

giaarah ghaaeil kai siv ke gan dvaadas sooran ke rath kaatte |

The eleven ganas of Shiva were wounded and the chariots of the twelve Suryas were shattered

ਘਾਇ ਕੀਯੋ ਜਮ ਕੋ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਬਸੁ ਆਠਨ ਕਉ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਡਾਟੈ ॥

ghaae keeyo jam ko birathee bas aatthan kau lalakaar ke ddaattai |

Yama was wounded and all the eight Vasus were challenged and frightened

ਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਮੁੰਡਤ ਕੀਨੇ ਘਨੇ ਜੁ ਰਹੇ ਰਨ ਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਗ ਹਾਟੇ ॥

satr bimunddat keene ghane ju rahe ran te tin ke pag haatte |

Many enemies were made headless and those who survived, ran away from the battlefield

ਪਉਣ ਸਮਾਨ ਛੁਟੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਾਨ ਸਬੈ ਦਲ ਬਾਦਲ ਜਿਉ ਚਲਿ ਫਾਟੇ ॥੧੬੬੨॥

paun samaan chhutte nrip baan sabai dal baadal jiau chal faatte |1662|

The arrows of the king were discharged with the speed of wind and all the forces were torn like clouds.1662.

ਭਾਜ ਗਏ ਰਨ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਕੈ ਭਟ ਤਉ ਸਿਵ ਏਕ ਉਪਾਇ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਓ ॥

bhaaj ge ran te ddar kai bhatt tau siv ek upaae bichaario |

When all ran away from the battlefield, Shiva thought of a remedy

ਮਾਟੀ ਕੋ ਮਾਨਸ ਏਕ ਕੀਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਰੇ ਜਬ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ ॥

maattee ko maanas ek keeyo tih praan pare jab sayaam nihaario |

He created a human being of clay, in which the life-force was put by Krishna on seeing it

ਸਿੰਘ ਅਜੀਤ ਧਰਿਓ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਬਰ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਮਰੈ ਨਹੀ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥

singh ajeet dhario tih naam deeo bar rudr marai nahee maario |

He was named Ajit Singh, who was also unconquerable before Shiva

ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਸੋਊ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਹੇਤ ਸਿਧਾਰਓ ॥੧੬੬੩॥

sasatr sanbhaar soaoo kar mai kharrages ke maaran het sidhaaro |1663|

He held the weapons and started away in order to kill Kharag Singh.1663.
