ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਇਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹੁਤੀ ਲੀਨੀ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥

garabhavatee ik triy hutee leenee nikatt bulaae |

There was a pregnant lady, which she called to her house.

ਰਨਿਯਹਿ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਅਧਾਨ ਜਗ ਐਸੇ ਦਈ ਉਡਾਇ ॥੭॥

raniyeh rahiyo adhaan jag aise dee uddaae |7|

She let loose the rumour that the Rani was pregnant.(7)

ਅਧਿਕ ਦਰਬ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਦਯੋ ਮੋਲ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਲੀਨ ॥

adhik darab taa kau dayo mol putr tih leen |

She paid lot of money to that lady and bought her son.

ਸੁਤ ਉਪਜ︀ਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਰਾਇ ਕੇ ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਉਤਸਵ ਕੀਨ ॥੮॥

sut upajayo grih raae ke yau keh utasav keen |8|

The announcement of the birth of son of Raja gave her immense satisfaction.(8)

ਡੋਮ ਭਾਟ ਢਾਢੀਨ ਕੌ ਦੀਨਾ ਦਰਬੁ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

ddom bhaatt dtaadteen kau deenaa darab apaar |

She gave out abundant amounts in alms to the Bards and Minstrels

ਸੇਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਧਰਿਯੋ ਸਭਹਿਨ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਧਾਰ ॥੯॥

ser singh taa kau dhariyo sabhahin naam sudhaar |9|

(And on the birth of the child) she named him Sher Singh.(9)
